NBC sent us the complete interview with legendary chat show host Dick Cavett, who appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
The Nebraskan comic turned talk show host began his TV career in 1968, and he appeared on ABC, CBS, PBS and USA before returning once again to ABC in the eighties, then landing at CNBC until 1996.
He had shows on Olympia Broadcasting (radio) and on TCM in 2006-2007. Cavett's style was a Mid-Western directness combined with wry, sly humor.
He was forthcoming in his battles with depression. His wife, Carrie Nye, died in 2006
