Jimmy Kimmel is not through with Jay Leno.
In the news yesterday, Jay Leno appeared on Oprah and said that Jimmy Kimmel sucker-punched him when Kimmel appeared on his 10 @ 10 segment.
Kimmel ain't done.
On Kimmel Live last night, he added more to the dogpile on Leno:
Kimmel talked about the process and standard talk-show prep, when a segment producer goes over the game plan with the the guest. There are no surprises in the 10 @ 10 for any guest booked.
Well, Kimmel realized that Leno wanted to ask him softballs, and silly questions about junk food, and he refused to play along.
He said, 'I really think we have to talk about what's going on with Jay and Conan because that's what people want to hear about, not about my junk food weakness."
Kimmel said, "I weigh over 200 pounds, all junk foods are my weakness."
Kimmel noted that he "like beating things to death."
"And so I did," said Kimmel.
Kimmel proceeded to deliver more abuse for Jay: "If I made any mistake, the mistake I made was thinking Jay would have anything other to say than what was written on the cue cards. I figured he'd get into it and mix it up. You know, at one time he was a comedian."
Here is the original segment that started the "sucker punch" drama.
