The Hollywood Reporter's The Live Feed exclusively reports that the BBC Worldwide Productions, along with original series creator Russell Davies are developing the script, and "Torchwood" John Barrowman may also star in this effort.
“Torchwood” follows an undercover group who do battle with alien beings. The series aired domestically on BBC America as well as last year’s sister miniseries, “Children of Earth,” which was a ratings and critical success.
THR reports that along with showrunner Davies, exec producers include Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter, with actor John Barrowman, (Capt. Jack Harkness) a strong possibility in a series that "will contain a global story line" than the first two BBC seasons.
