Mulligan time for CNN and Anderson Cooper, as the two were joined once again by comic Kathy Griffin, who spent a better part of the year leading Bristol Palin's allegedly dim baby daddy Levi Johnston around by the nose at award events and on TV chat shows.
Once again Griffin, a self-proclaimed gay icon for her no-holds barred comedy, rang in the New Year 2010 by sharing the F-bomb with Anderson as they discussed the year's most infamous entertainment stories.
During the lead up to the New Year, Griffin and Cooper hashed over 2009's top news stories, specifically the Colorado Balloon Boy - Richard Heene story, which turned out to be a giant hoax.
Heene and his wife concocted a false story that their 6-year-old son, Falcon, had floated away in a homemade helium balloon. The resulting news coverage was immediate and massive in size.
"Fal ... Fu**ing? Falcon? How do you say it?" Griffin asked Cooper during the broadcast.
Cooper loves his muse Griffin: "You're terrible," he chastised Griffin, who was warned not to repeat her language behavior from last year's broadcast. "Really terrible."
