MTV reality star and rapper Clifford 'T.I.' Harris is out of prison, into a halfway house and that much closer to home for Christmas.
Harris, a father of five children, who served a 366-day sentence on weapons charges, has been released from a low-security penitentiary in Forrest City, Ark., and moved to a halfway house in Atlanta, a move that his attorney said is not unusual.
"It happens across the board as long as the inmates are eligible," attorney Steve Sadow told E! Online. "They decided that three months in a halfway house would assist him with reentering society."
Time served and good behavior credit led to his early release.
T.I. is expected to live at this halfway house for three months, he is also slated to serve 500 hours of community service and 20 to 60 days of home incarceration along with a six-figure fine.
Prior to his imprisonment, T.I. completed 1,000 community service hours, talking to at-risk kids about nonviolence.
