Gosselin recently filed a lawsuit against "Jon & Kate Plus 8" network TLC and stated: “Now, I find myself unemployed and without the ability to secure non-entertainment related engagements because the enormous Media interest, cameras, reporters and public interest makes it impossible to carry on normal daily activities, let alone find, secure and maintain a job with an employer who is willing to be exposed to the daily Media intrusions that has impeded by life."
Gosselin was sued by TLC for breach of contract.
Gosselin adds in his affidavit: “The Plaintiff has promoted and even facilitated opportunities and appearances for my wife, yet attempts to restrain and enjoin me from making a living for my family."
Jon’s $5 million counter suit claims that TLC violated Pennsylvania’s child labor laws, impeded his television income outside their network and owes him $175,000.
Kate Gosselin has re-upped her nursing license and has not ruled out returning to a normal life outside the reality TV world.
In a document filed with the Pennsylvania Department of State on October 26, 2009, Kate renewed her registration as a nurse.
Kate reportedly completed initial nursing studies at Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania, and later worked as a registered nurse in labor and delivery before giving birth to her first set of twins.
