“Trauma” a casualty for NBC, scrapped

The expensive drama "Trauma" has been scrapped by NBC.

Variety and THR report that NBC pulled the plug on the stylishly shot medical drama filmed initially in the Bay area.The series centered around the personal and professional lives of San Francisco paramedics, with heavy usage of special effects and stunt work. The network reportedly will finish producing the rest of its original 13-episode order. Whether they air or not is to be determined.NBC did order six more episodes of comedy-drama "Chuck." According to THR.com, "Trauma" will be replaced by "Chuck" on Monday nights next year.
