"Bones" will see Ryan O'Neal and Zooey Deschanel guest star in an upcoming episode.

Zooey Deschanel is the sister of series star Emily Deschanel, and will guest-star in “The Goop on the Girl,” a special holiday-themed episode of BONES airing Thursday, Dec. 10 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
FOX announced that this was the first-ever on-screen pairing of the Deschanel sisters, as Zooey is cast as Margaret Whitesell, a distant relative of DR. Dr. Brennan's (Emily Deschanel).
When Brennan’s father, Max (Ryan O’Neal), makes contact with Margaret, he invites her to spend Christmas with him and his daughter. Meanwhile, Brennan and Booth (David Boreanaz) investigate the death of a man dressed as Santa Claus who was blown up after a botched bank robbery.
Zooey and Emily are the daughters of cinematographer Caleb Deschanel.
The milestone 100th episode is directed by Boreanaz, will air in spring 2010.
