The burden of Kate Gosselin

Jon Gosselin may have allegedly sketchy lawyers, dubious girlfriends and dreams of CBS reality TV shows dancing in his head currently, but everyone who gets it knows the burden of the Gosselins lies squarely with mum Kate. She's the one primarily holding the bag, tending to eight kids, while Jon "crafts his image."
Sure, her image is a piece of work too, but she appears more rational and realisitic, as witnessed by her renewal of her nursing license, as reported by radaronline.com. She seems to know the love TLC has for her completely hinges on ratings and their interest in furthering the franchise, now cut in half, or tenths if you count the heads.
In interviews, Jon does not come off as well as his estranged wife. The fact he and Hailey Glassman are still an item also speaks volumes.

FOX411 claims it is a team of characters that include lover Glassman, his publicist, lawyers and Michael Lohan, who loves to insert himself into situations he really shouldn't.
FOX411 reports that pop Lohan is influencing Jon behind the scenes: "Michael Lohan was key in convincing Jon to shut down the show, and now Jon's money-making potential is limited," the source continues. "The people he should be paying, including lawyers, are pretty sure the likelihood of him being able to pay them is low at this point."
On this week's Jon & Kate Plus 8 special episode, Kate spoke to fans and answered questions. She didn't lie about the fact she digs the spotlight, fame and all the money that comes with it, but her actions reveal that there is a streak of pragmatism in her, whereas Jon's crew of handlers screams "hire me reality TV, I'll do or say whatever you want."
Kate said, "I've done enough years on TV that I feel like it's a normal, comfortable, natural place to be," she said. "I'd love to be in a movie at some point, I'd love to be the voice of a cartoon character in a movie for my kids. I think that would be fun."
All bets are on: "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here" or "Celebrity Apprentice" to cast Jon Gosselin?
