In the UK promoting her new album, singer Whitney Houston appeared on the talent show, 'X Factor' and suffered a stage disaster, as a strap at the back of her long silver dress snapped open midway through her performance of 'Million Dollar Bill.'
Houston warbled her song, and then laughed off the wardrobe malfunction with host Dermot O'Leary: "I sang myself out of my clothes."
It was Houston's first UK TV appearance in 12 years.
Previously, Houston was interviewed by the UK's Daily Mail, sharing that her 'X Factor' performance "should be a fun night. I am a fan of Simon Cowell's and look forward to meeting him," she said.
Whitney's 'I Look to You' debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, selling more than 300,000 copies in its first week of avalaibility.
Houston had another disaster on 'Good Morning America' which showcased subpar vocals. She apologized for the performance, saying that because of her publicity tour and appearance on 'Oprah,' she'd "been talking for so long. ... I talked so much, my voice ... I shouldn't be talking. I should be singing."
