Leighton Meester's lyrical interview reveals her other talent

"Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester has a range of talents, including being a singer-songwriter who has a new single out called 'Somebody to Love' which features Robin Thicke.

PopEater interviewed Leighton and found out how her musical career is nurtured alongside her very demanding TV production schedule for "Gossip Girl."

When asked who were her musical influences, Meester gave props to some old school sirens.

"I'm very influenced by Madonna, and Debbie Harry. I love Cyndi Lauper. I had a chance to work with her on my show, she's very fun. She's awesome. I love Kylie Minogue and M.I.A. and Santogold and Gwen Stefani. Fergie ... great women, female artists."

Meester described her musical style to PopEater as "Eclectic."

"I think if you had to put it into a category, it's like dance, pop, electro but lyrically driven," said Meester.
