HBO has a lot of great series, past and present. But one that I was always resistant to was their polygamist Brady Bunch effort: "Big Love."

Early in my life I had read and learned of Mormon history and the practice of plural marriage. It was an alarming eye-opener for a sheltered Catholic school girl and the first realization of how unimportant women were in real-life history, powerless within so many societies, even up to relatively modern times.
The premise of "Big Love" creeped me out so much that I couldn't get lost in the story or the performances, despite having two of my all-time favorite character actors: Grace Zabriskie, and Harry Dean Stanton, included in the cast.
Well, now they have gone and done it, and added another amazing actor to the cast: Sissy Spacek.
I'm in.
HBO has confirmed Spacek for a multi-episode arc, who will portray a powerful Washington D.C. lobbyist. The fourth season will also include Bella Thorne, who will replace Jolean Wejbe as daughter Teenie, and Ben Koldyke as Dale, a new love interest for Alby (Matt Ross), according to the Los Angeles Times.
"Big Love" is the steamy drama that centers on modern polygamist Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) who juggles three wives, three houses and three sets of kids who has a wandering eye for more women still.
Luckily as the owner of a large box store, our Bill makes serious bank. The show also features the efforts of Bill's number one wife: Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn), second wife Nicki (Chloë Sevigny) and third wife Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin).
