America's Got Talent 'best of' clips from Sept. 1, plus Muppet, Springer news

"America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan was on "Good Day LA" with lead anchor Steve Edwards this morning, and shared this season of NBC's reality competition series is getting interesting, as the show is winding down.
Morgan also noted the results show tonight will feature a performance by The Muppets stars Kermit and Miss Piggy.
The Muppets are celebrating their 40th anniversary celebration for Sesame Street.
Also revealed by NBC is that Jerry Springer is coming back to host a live version of the TV talent contest in Las Vegas.
Springer, a popular host of "America's Got Talent" for two seasons on NBC, will emcee the Las Vegas show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino starting in October.
The new run starts Oct. 7 and include shows Wednesday through Sunday. It will run for at least 10 weeks.
Springer left the TV series to appear on stage as Billy Flynn in the Broadway musical "Chicago."
