Nickelodeon’s series will give kids an opportunity to compete in three intense levels of game play that challenge the contestants’ visual, memory and thought abilities.
BrainSurge features kid contestants, as well as Nickelodeon’s own star talent, who compete to win the title of champion and the chance to be slimed. In addition, with the push of a button, kids at home can play online here and test their mental skills from the comfort of their own homes.
“BrainSurge is filled with high-energy challenges that allow kids to test their own level of recollection and attention skills while having a blast,” said Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon’s Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming. “And, the viewers at home can join the fun by going online to play games that will help them prepare for the games on the show.”
Energetic and comedic host, Jeff Sutphen, guides the action as kids compete to win while avoiding being sucked into the “Face Wall” or sliding down the “Brain Drain.”
The Premise:
As kids are eliminated from the game, they leave with fun prizes while the final winning contestant gets the ultimate prize… a giant, messy, celebratory sliming! In two special episodes, Nickelodeon stars, including Miranda Cosgrove, Keke Palmer, Jerry Trainor, Nat Wolff and Victoria Justice, among others, join in the fun as they play the game, answer the difficult questions and compete to become champion.
