Scrubs star Sarah Chalke is with child.
Chalke has played red-head fearing, German speaking loquacious Dr. Elliot Reid in the long-running comedy that ran on NBC until 2008, and now calls ABC home.
Chalke and her fiancé of three years, entertainment lawyer Jamie Afifi, are expecting their first child, according to People magazine.
The baby is due this Winter.
"The best is just knowing that 100 percent somebody always has your back and you always have theirs," Chalke said in a People interview. "You have a partner, you have a buddy."
Chalke completed Lifetime's original miniseries, "Maneater," based on the Gigi Levangie Grazer (The Starter Wife) book this year, and was interviewed by New York Daily News about her over-the-top role.
Chalke played Clarissa Alpert, a 32-year-old socialite who plots to wed Hollywood's hottest new producer before they've even met.
"I have never tap-danced in my life and I was kicked out of the choir in the fifth grade because I can't sing, but for this movie I had to tap-dance and sing in one scene ... when I was supposed to be nine months pregnant," Chalke told the Daily News.
"So I had tap shorts over fishnets around a fake pregnancy belly, and when I put my arms up to tap-dance in front of 300 people, my pants fell down. It was like embarrassment laid on top of embarrassment laid on top of embarrassment."
