This Saturday, August 1, Lifetime will be re-airing “Nora Roberts’ Northern Lights” starring LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian.
Revisit the film that put the two married leads firmly into the tabloid headlines, as life imitated art, and their marriages have since been destroyed.
The movie will air from 9 – 11 pm ET/PT.
The Premise:
In the Nora Roberts movie "Northern Lights," former Baltimore policeman Nate Burns (Eddie Cibrian) was hoping to start a new life by accepting the job of chief of police in the town of Lunacy, Alaska.
He escapes to the small, remote town in an effort to forget the traumatic death of his partner, for which he holds himself partially responsible. But the moment he meets Meg Galligan (LeAnn Rimes), an independent and feisty bush pilot with her own demons, he finds himself falling for her. The town is rocked when the body of Meg's father, a man who Meg believed had abandoned her and her mother Charlene 16 years ago, turns up in a mountain cave. Nate finds himself in the middle of a high-profile murder investigation and quickly learns the killer is someone in the community.
Nate must use his big-city survival instincts to solve the mystery that threatens his new life and new love.
LeAnn is an accomplished singer who has won two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards.
Eddie Cibrian had leading roles in five series over the past 15 years, including the popular syndicated show “Baywatch Nights,” “Third Watch,” “Tilt,” “Invasion” and, most recently, “Vanished.”
This past year, he had recurring roles on “Ugly Betty,” “The Starter Wife” and “Samantha Who.”
