Jeffrey Donovan, star of USA network's "Burn Notice" was arrested for DUI in Miami, where the hit series is filmed.
The Associated Press reports that it was the Miami Beach police who arrested Donovan on suspicion of drunken driving.
The AP cites an arrest report which details on July 12, police observed Donovan "swerving" his car to avoid hitting the police car from behind. It was reported that that Donovan's eyes "appeared bloodshot and watery." Donovan was administered standard sobriety tests and reportedly failed, and he refused to take a Breathalyzer test.
The 41-year-old actor, who stars in the USA series about a spy who has been "burned" or disavowed by the US Government who bases his new life in his home city of Miami, and works with a retired FBI man (Bruce Campbell) and ex girlfriend, a former IRA operative (Gabrielle Anwar) and wrangles a needy mother (Sharon Gless) while taking on new cases.
Donovan was reportedly released several hours later on $1,000 bail.
His publicist declined to comment. A phone message left with a network spokeswoman was not immediately returned.
