The two finalists were eliminated tonight after host Cat Deeley announced that Randi Evans and Kűpono Aweau received the fewest of America’s votes.
Evans, 23, is a Jazz dancer from Springville, UT, and Aweau, 23, is a Lyrical/Contemporary dancer from Kailua, HI.
Tonight also saw a performance by The Black Eyed Peas, performing “I Gotta Feeling,” from “The E.N.D.”
FOX announced that talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres and Emmy Award-winning choreographer Mia Michaels will join judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy as guest judges of the Top 8 finalists (Brandon Bryant, Jason Glover, Evan Kasprzak, Janette Manrara, Jeanine Mason, Ade Obayomi, Kayla Radomski and Melissa Sandvig) when they compete with new partners on a two-hour performance show Wednesday, July 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
The following night, to celebrate the milestone 100th episode, a special performance of “Get Happy” by Katie Holmes is scheduled, as well as the return of fan-favorite and Emmy Award-winning routines, including Wade Robson’s “Ramalama (Bang Bang)” and “The Hummingbird and the Flower” (performed by Jaimie Goodwin and Hok Konishi) and Mia Michaels’ “The Bench” (performed by Travis Wall and Heidi Groskreutz-Burns).
Then the results of America’s vote will be announced, sending two more dancers home on the live results show Thursday, July 23 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed).
