Jon Benjamin, Chris Parnell, Aisha Tyler, Judy Greer voice 'Archer' for FX, this fall

06/04/2009 - Aisha Tyler -Voicing the series will be Jon Benjamin (Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, Aqua Teen Hunger Force) as a suave master spy “Sterling Archer,” whose less-than-masculine code name is "Duchess”; Jessica Walter as his domineering mother and boss, “Malory”; Aisha Tyler (Reno 911!) as his ex-girlfriend, “Agent Lana Kane”; Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Lana’s new love interest, “Cyril Figgis”; and Judy Greer as Malory’s lovesick secretary, “Cheryl.” © Glenn Harris / PR PhotosNick Grad, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, FX, made the announcement, revealing the premise as an animated half-hour comedy set at ISIS, an international spy agency, where global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other. Voicing the series will be Jon Benjamin (Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, Aqua Teen Hunger Force) as a suave master spy “Sterling Archer,” whose less-than-masculine code name is "Duchess”; Jessica Walter as his domineering mother and boss, “Malory”; Aisha Tyler (Reno 911!) as his ex-girlfriend, “Agent Lana Kane”; Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Lana’s new love interest, “Cyril Figgis”; and Judy Greer as Malory’s lovesick secretary, “Cheryl.” “This project has been a great surprise for us and we’re excited about adding it to our fall schedule,” said Grad. “Adam Reed has written successful animated series for Adult Swim/Cartoon Network, and he has taken this format and given it a live-action feel. It is a smart, adult comedy and the characters are given voice by a terrific cast. It clearly fits the FX brand and we believe it will find support from the fans of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Produced by FX Productions, Archer was created by Adam Reed & Floyd County Productions. Reed previously co-created, with Matt Thompson, the animated series Frisky Dingo and Sealab 2021. Reed said, "I've been a fairly rabid fan of FX's original programming for a long time, so I'm thrilled by the opportunity to become a part of it, and to bring our style of animation and comedy to such a fantastic line-up."
