FOX announced today that the Black Eyed Peas will perform at the upcoming "Teen Choice 2009 Awards."

Hosted by the Jonas Brothers, the FOX award show celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion in a two-hour event. Other booked celebrities include Kristen Bell, Jordana Brewster, Ashley Greene, Vanessa Hudgens, Shawn Johnson, Daren Kagasoff, Kim Kardashian, Sean Kingston, Taylor Lautner, Jennette McCurdy and Emma Roberts.

TEEN CHOICE 2009 also announced the next wave of nominees in categories such as Choice Summer Movie Star, Choice Summer Song, Choice Celebrity Dancer and Choice Twit, a new category to honor the top Celebrity Tweeter. The Black Eyed Peas are one of the most successful groups in music today. Band members Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo became international superstars with 2003’s breakthrough album, “Elephunk.” Recently the band was involved in an assault incident with blogger Perez Hilton, who is suing the band's manager.
