Brian Austin Green cast in Smallville

Our friends at TV Guide have learned that actor Brian Austin Green has been cast as Metallo on the series, "Smallville." Green will play John Corben, a kryptonite-wielding villain who can control Superman. He was first introduced to the comic strip in 1959. © PRN / PR Photos

He was first introduced to the comic strip in 1959.TV Guide reports that Green will appear as Metallo/John Corben "in at least the first two episodes of Season 9, which kicks off Friday, Sept. 25."Green's role announcement is after the news of his break up with Megan Fox, and his series pilot "Body Politic" which did not make the fall cut at the CW.Green is greatly missed in the wrongly canceled FOX series, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles."
