This was a great interview, honest,vulnerable,courageous,intelligent.Adam expressed his experiences so well about being a gay teenager in high school, that I felt his loniless and isolation. He calls himself gay, denies bisexualiy although he has made out with girls when partying in clubs. Adam admits to being bi-curious and maybe taking that a bit further someday, but that is a general statement. He was probably joking when he then said -whose gonna be the lucky woman. Boy, we ladies wanting to be her will be in a line that stretches around the globe! Adam can be certain, that whenever he enters a club from now on, the drinks will flow nonstop from every female in the place ! lol! Well, he should keep the answer to that question dangling over his head with a big grin on his face, cuz it is noone's business. The time is right for a glam rock star and Adam is perfect. So enought about his sexuality, let the repressed, suppressed stop obsessing and get Adam back on stage intoxicating and seducing and mesmerizing and turning us on like our glam rock sex god does when he is performing. An outstanding talent like this belongs on stage, it is his destiny.
Thanks for the video. I heard about the show too late, this is great. Adam is his usual charming person. I was suprised and excited about his kissing girls in clubs. I'll be hitting every club in LA looking for him. He will never be alone though, cuz my bff is here saying the same thing. We can dream. My cousin is gay and he will be out clubbing in LA too, even though it will be a drive for him. Maybe we should all be bisexual or bicurious or whatever. Adam is extra special though. Adam is a superstar. I'm a glambert. We all are around here. Adam needs to do a solo tour when the A.I. tour is finished. His own band, lots of base and guitars and drums and stoppin and singin. Adam looks totally hot. He was not shy at all taking about his sexuality. I don't think it is anyone's business though. I thought that the Rolling Stone interview was enough. But the tv interview was great. It showed a bit of his perfect singing and some of his background that was so personal.I'm a fan but even more than ever now. Adam is a nice guy, not just a sexy singer. He really is the most fascinating singer I have ever heard. I can't wait for his CD. I still watch his videos from itunes every day. I downloaded all his songs. I can listen to Adam over and over, not like with other singers, who by the 2nd time I get bored. I think Adam is going to be an icon like Paula said. I think he already is.

Adam is the greatest performing artist in decades. He can sing the phonebook and make it great. His vocal range covers 3 octaves and he can sing in any one register without his voice cracking. That takes a lot of training and is very hard for a singer to do. His vocals are very crystal clear and he slides smoothly from deep chest to piercing high head in a perfect and rare counter tenor voice. But the big intesest seems to be in his private sexuality. So, we have Adam Lambert on 20/20 discussing his bicurious gay sexuality. Hope everyone is finally satisfied so we can talk about the new glam rock star that is rocking everyone's world.That is the Adam Lambert I want to hear about. That is a creative talent that brought new life into American Idol and kept us watching week after week.Gay smay, Adam is sexy but he also makes us feel sexy when he performs, let's focus on are own sexuality and let the kid live his own live. Live and let live. Back to the singer who can sing any genre and take any song and make it new and his own- Adam Lambert.

Everyone knew Adam was gay during Idol. The media wrote about it every day, eiter subtley or obviously and not kindly. But, he made it to the finale anyway because he is simply an incredible talent. That says it all right there. I love this kid. I respect this kid. He is the very best. i also agree with the other commenters.
Adam looks totally hot on 20/20, but I don't know why he still covers his stwawberry blond hair. He can keep the black brows, that's cool, but he is sizzlin in his Walk thru Fire golden locks.
I watched this video on yo utube 3 times already. It is there forever probably, so Adam dosen't have to rehash the private questions again. Or people can buy up the June 25 issue of Rolling Stone. I hope they paid Adam for that interview, because it sold out in OC in minutes after being on the shelves. I agree that Adam is just Adam. Who he is as a whole package is what we love so much. A beautiful, sexy guy with an exquisite voice that gives us goosebumps. Gosh, I love Adam so much...It doesnt matter to me if he is gay or not. He looks so handsome and he is so sexy when he moves. He has a great poise. I don't think that I have ever been more excited about a performer than I have about Adam. He is immensely talented with an incredible vocal ability, puts so much feeling into his performances with a 'can't take your eyes off of him' stage presence, looks gorgeous no matter what his look. Kissing a girl or a boy, it does not matter , he will not kiss me or marry me anyway. He's a good singer, the best one I ever heard. Great performer, Rock Star - ooh, Gene is so jealous, handsome - clay is jealous too, classy , stylish & honest. He worked hard for his performances in AI, and God knows that. Eventhough he was cheated in the AI, God is not sleeping, He granted him 2 awards in one night.

Glamberts all around the world are so obsessed with Adam because we understand that we are witnessing a star being born!!! We can not get enought Adam. We could care less about his private life, he just love everything about him!!! I know I am speaking for alot of people, but I Know they agree with me. Words can not decribe what Adam does to us. I am 40 years old and I have never witnessed anything like this. Glamberts out there......do you agree with me? Adam is a true star, the best we will probably see in our lifetime.
I love this dude. I have been a fan since holywood week (I missed his audition, but thanks to utube I got to see it later which is totaly awesome!...the cougar judges drooling all over him...lmfao)...anyways, yeah,i've been fan since then and loved all his performances. He is so talented, creative, humble and most of all brave dude I have seen in my whole life. And he is honest and doesn't care what people would think or say abt him, which I love the most. And who cares who he dates or kisses, it is his life and let him enjoy it people. Go Adam! u are a true rock star!
btw, I have this feeling that Adam was booted off the competition before Danny, I am saying this because I see that those haters out there were trying to take him down right from the begining, and I think the show, AI, kept him till the finale,imagine how it would be if it hadn't been for Adam, covering their butts with those smoken hot performances at the finale...Wheeeeeew. I couldn't even imagine a Kris Vs Danny finale, it would have been like a funeral, so boring and pathetic!

I hope Adam Lambert brings life to the dying music industry. The music on the radio sucks big time!!!!
You know what 19e does or perhaps the die-hard fans is that they PUSH the singles of Cook, Archuleta, Sparks, Daughtry, etc. DOWN people's throats by forcing them to be played on the radio. Although I liked them in AI, I don't like any of Cooks, Archuleta, Spark's singles. Nothing earth-shattering about them. Daugthry's new single is same-old, same-old sound.
I like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, etc. they are current and different. We need a new wave of songs not the same old sounds. From R&B, I like the songs of people who collaborate like Keri Hilson, Colby ODonnis, Kanye, Akon, etc. I am tired of Daughtry's rock ballads, Cook's ballads, Sparks' R&B, Archuleta's ballads, etc. I hope Adam sings a song where he collaborates with the best like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.
I really hope Adam Lambert changes the music industry for the male side and move towards the Lady Gaga, Katy Perry type. Also, Adam should have the best guitarist, drummer, etc. in his band. I am tired of hearing the clunky bands of Daughtry, Cook, Archuleta, etc.
I am tired of manufactured idols on the radio. They are all sounding alike. I never really liked any of Kelly Clarkson's songs. Come on. Bring back some real artists on the radio. Adam Lambert should start a new wave of songs on the radio or he will be like any other manufactured idol. For many people, being a manufactured Idol is not exactly the coolest kind of celebrity. The world needs a new wave of music and not just manufactured Idol rubbish. Adam, you have the honor of changing all this and for starting that new wave of music at least for the male side.

Under public scrutiny, the media was forcing Adam to come 'clean' with what was already known. Let's make him 'say it' in a magazine and then on TV. He gets criticized for not revealing and then for revealing. He spoke with candor and graciousness. ENOUGH! That's his personal life. He is fearless and perhaps a little naive with the media. They can be a wolf in sheeps clothing. Careful. The media should focus on his music path. He is a mega talented kid ...This is his moment ... his dream... and 'ours' for his fans. Love everything that is ADAM.
I absolutely adore Adam! I have been a fan from the time I saw him in Hollywood week. The 20/20 interview and his story in Rolling Stone made me love and respect him even more. I do not think too many people would want to expose the skeletons in their closet like he did. We all know he didn't win the American Idol title...but he has a much bigger victory already. He is well on his way to becoming a music icon. I am so excited to see him this summer on the tour...going twice!! Although...I am even more excited for his cd to come out in the fall. I can only imagine what an Adam Lambert concert will be like!! All I know is...I will be supporting him all the way. He truly is an amazing singer and entertainer and I feel bad for anyone who will not get to see and hear that because of their opinions of his sexuality. In my eyes...he is awesome!!!!! I only hope people realize that his sexuality does not define his personality. Rock on Adam!!!! :)
It started with the talent. I was blown away by him from day one. Now, the more I see him the more I respect and admire him as a person. He's the best that has ever appeared on the Idol stage.

Adam is refreshing. I love his candor, his sense of humor and that teasing way he has with interviewers. It sounds like he has scars from high school and now finds himself the object of attention from men and women so, it must be so much fun to be Adam Lambert right now. No one should be that interested in his personal life--but that is the nature of the beast when you are so talented and have chemistry that reaches out and grabs people. I am sure he'd rather deal with popularity than obscurity.
People do need to back-off the sexuality thing so it does not become bigger than his talent. I do hope it doesn't drag down his career. That would be really unfortunate. Basically, whomever interviews him is using that topic to promote themselves--not Adam. Really, media hounds chew people up and spits them out. Hopefully, he will limit his contact with them soon. The 20/20 guy was very nice though and seemed to really like Adam.

about adam not getting his music played on rock radio.....umm, perry farrell? ('jane's addiction').....played all the time. now maybe adam will be a better fit on alternative-rock radio, but not played at all, because he's gay? who thinks like that? it's 2009! radio will play whoever the people want to hear......they will do polls and go by call-ins and requests. they will be interested in what music is being downloaded. they will not pass some old-fashioned, ignorant judgment.....maybe in some crazy place in some backward area, but metro radio stations- they play what people want....and we want adam's music!
To Kate: I too felt the pain in his voice when he talked about how much he missed when he was in high school. Didn't you want to just hug him and say, 'It's OK. That is in the past, we are here now to hold you up'.
On the graduation video where he sang, most of his classmates were disinterested and one girl even gave a smirk. Hey you, look who's laughing now!

Adam Lambert is simply getting things out of the way so he can focus on making music and entertaining people ( critic's darling Rufus Wainwright was the 1st to be 'out' at the start of his career - Adam is the 1st to do it with a publicity splach - and Rolling Stone magazine is enjoying a mega sales spike because of his cover story ) -
we're all post-'Will & Grace' now ... we love Adam for simply being Adam.
(Also, I am not a 'tween or a female 'cougar' - I'm a middle age male - Adam appeals across the board.)
After watching the video, I have a renewed respect for Adam. He appears much more humble and not the arrogant person his interviews seemed to project. His voice and stage presence out perform many established stars, and I think he will be a tremendeous success. I look forward to his first recording.

All I can say is ditto to all the positive statement. Adam shows a keen intelligence, and he is very articulate presenting himself extremely well in his interviews. All in all, he has done a great job in handling the press and critics. There is honesty, sensitivity and a bit of naivety in his answers, and I personally find these qualities very appealing. He surely has soring talent and can't wait for him to focus on his music.
it would be Really nice/great to have a smooch party with adam! I do love his amazing vocals and stage performances and can't wait to hear/see him live on the tour---then his CD then his own tour! I already knew that way back on AI when you sing that black or white song by Michael J. however hearing it from you was totally different. I was totally crush and kind of mad about the whole thing.
