The scuttle is that Twentieth Century Fox TV is "in talks" per Variety with TBS about a possible pickup. TBS already airs "Earl" reruns.
Variety claims that the talks are in "very early stages" and no concrete deal has been reached yet.
The show is a redneck redemption tale that stars Jason Lee as Earl, as a reformed petty thief who is joined in his quest of righting wrongs by his brother Randy (Ethan Suplee). The show also featured Earl's ex, Joy, (Emmy winner Jaime Pressly) and her new husband Darnell (Eddie Steeples).
The show was canceled by NBC in May after four seasons.
TBS' original comedies include "The Bill Engvall Show," "My Boys," "Meet the Browns" and "10 Items or Less."
