NBC's "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here," now has one of the participants, Heidi Montag Pratt, in hospital with severe hurling, due to an alleged ulcer.
Pardon us while we view the whole scenario with a fish eye.
The two were reeled back and put in a room infested with vermin by NBC after they "quit" to "punish" them for being so "difficult."
NBC brass went on record that they wanted Speidi to grovel to get back on the show that just bid adieu to comic Angela Shelton, and featured a sick Janice Dickinson hocking up a lung while Stephen Baldwin was joined by Daniel, his big brother last week.
"Hills" star Heidi Montag Pratt was rushed to a Costa Rican hospital Saturday after returning to the filming of "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" along with her husband, Spencer Pratt, a rep for the couple told the media.
TMZ.com claims that Heidi was rushed to the hospital after "convulsively throwing up" and was "diagnosed with a gastric ulcer."
Montag fell ill after she and Spencer had been "held ... in a dark room for a day and a night with only water, rice and beans. The couple briefly left the show last week but soon returned, claiming "the devil" had made them leave.
Spencer's sister, Stephanie Pratt, Twittered her take on thew hospitalization, saying, "I'm really saddened to hear that NBC felt it was OK to punish Speidi so harshly -- and torture them as if they were criminals -- that Heidi was rushed to the hospital and has an IV in her arm after being locked in a dark room for 3 days w no food or water. [Please] pray she will be OK.
"Her family is flying out to see her in the hospital," Stephanie continued. "I know they pulled some sh-tty antics -- but really NBC?? Too far."
Last week, NBC's executive vice president of alternative programming Paul Telegdy had called Speidi "everything that's wrong with America," adding that in order for the pair to stay on the show they'd be pushed to the limit.
"They are back, and this time they are contrite. ... Yeah, right. What they don't realize is that they are now going to be examined, and their value system utterly deconstructed," he said. "These people really are going to bare their souls."
