Bill Maher hosts Richard Haass, Paula Froelich and Matt Miller

Friday night is Bill Maher night on HBO, where the literati and the cognoscenti gather up and bounce the topics of the moment off of each other, all under the direction of host Maher, who has held court for seven seasons with this fast-paced series.

Last week was great watching, as the panel booked was atypically to the right, and the political chasm between Bill and his guests John Bolton and ex Rep. Heather Wilson kept the comic on his toes.

This week, Friday June 5th, sees Maher host novelist Paula Froelich, journalist Matt Miller and journalist Jeremy Scahill as roundtable guests, and Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, and DL Hughley as interview guests.

Maher is an HBO staple who first appeared on the network in 1989/  Maher’s other HBO credits include six hour-long specials and his recent feature satirical film, “Religulous.”
