The most prolific talented character actors, who have supported leading roles in films for decades, will be celebrated.
Starz Inside: The Face is Familiar premieres on Starz, Tuesday, June 9 at 10:00 p.m. (et/pt).
These talented workhorses make the “stars” of the movies look good, and thrive in smaller, more complex roles that lend flavor and depth to the films with their unique brands of humor, intensity and charisma, making memorable cinematic moments.
This special will help put a name to their face.
Those starring in the special include Samuel L. Jackson, Joan Cusack, Stephen Tobolowsky, Danny Trejo, Jane Lynch, Michael Madsen, William Sanderson, Luis Guzman, Veronica and Angela Cartwright, Missi Pyle and many others.
Starz Inside, Starz Entertainment’s series of original specials resumes in June with a new slate of productions hosted by renowned film critic and author Richard Roeper. Specials in the Starz Inside series include: Starz Inside: Unforgettably Evil, Starz Inside: Zombiemania, Starz Inside: Comics on Screen, and Starz Inside: Sex and the Cinema.
Starz Inside host Richard Roeper was co-host of “Ebert & Roeper” for eight years. For the last 20 years he has been a columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times.
He was also a contributor to Fox News in Chicago, where his commentaries were nominated for five Emmys®, winning twice. He has written seven books, and he continues to review films for richardroeper.com.
