According to NBC, the Governor discussed the gargantuan state budget crisis and the California Supreme Court’s decision upholding Proposition 8, as well as the new "Terminator" movie starring Christian Bale.
Schwarzenegger, who defined the franchise, said he’d taken his family to see the movie.
“The only thing is I was somewhat a little bit upset because I turned to my daughter and said, ‘What do you think?’ ” Schwarzenegger said, according to a transcript from NBC, and then quoted her as saying: "'That was the best Terminator movie ever.' " “Really?” Leno asked. “Yeah,” Schwarzenegger replied. “So I said, ‘Oh, that's great. Thanks a lot.’ ”
Regarding Prop, 8, the governor said: "Well, as I sent out the regular press statement saying that we, you know, we'll uphold the law. We respect the court's decision, and, you know, I think that this is not over, this decision, because I think they're going to be back. In a year or two, they will be back again with another initiative trying to get it...eventually it's going to be overturned."
