Danny Gokey eliminated in 'Idol' results show

American Idol finalist Danny Gokey, the soulful singer and recent widower who made the race for the prize an interesting one, has been eliminated from the competition.

Milwaukee's Danny Gokey had thousands of fans greet him in Brown Deer, WI during his "Hometown Visit".  It was described as "a madhouse there" by videographer "vintagedebee" who said, "He was very kind and gracious to everyone. Best of all, he was 10 times more handsome in person than he is on TV."

The remaining contestants to battle for the title are Kris Allen and Adam Lambert, who could not be more different in style and range if they tried.

Next week will see the two men face off, having the American public decide their fate by calling in votes. It was reported by FOX that one million, give or take, separated Kris and Adam in their vote tallies this week.

What is the wild card is who will Danny throw his sizable audience to for his choice to win the prize.  Last week's eliminated contestant Allison Iraheta has already gone on record she will be pulling for her duet partner, Adam.
