Joan and Melissa are the quintessential 'divas'. THe best thing that happened to tv was when they were kicked off tv for talking about other celebs. Joan's attitude of superiority is sickening.

Both Joan and Annie are competitive, but the difference is in their attitudes towards their success. Annie conveys an attitude that it is all about her, and that she is the sole reason for her team's victory. Joan conveys leadership with integrity and heart, and you genuinely feels that she cares about her charity. With Annie, there is no heart.

Annie kept insisting that she never maligned Joan, and yet she is seen on film calling Joan a despicable woman. Annie is indeed a liar.

I have been in leadership positions for many years, and I can tell you that Annie is a micromanager who only wants to have things done her way.

I feel sorry for Melissa---while she is proud of her Mother, she did indeed have an embarassing meltdown when she was fired. Melissa simply rides on her Mother's coatails, and has Donald Trump proclaimed, Melissa Rivers is not Joan Rivers.

Go Joan!!! You are a leader with style, grace, and integrity.

I have been a fan of Joan Rivers most of my life. I think she is a fantastic comedienne and got screwed out of the Tonight Show gig once Johnny Carson retired, but her meltdowns on this show make me think less of her. I don't care about attacks based on ideas and ideology, but personal attacks without any rational basis are beneath intelligent adults. Annie Duke should not have been attacked based on her chosen profession. I was always told that a person should strive to be the best at whatever they do. If you are a garbage collector, be the best, and you can be respected for that. Annie has shown herself to be one of the best poker players in the World. Can Joan claim to be one of the best comedians ever? There should not have been any personal attacks and they diminished Ms. Rivers beyond my expectations. I salute Annie Duke, if for no other reason than her class and ability to maintain in the face of unwarranted personal attacks.

In my opinion she sucked.(so did her baby melissa) and the personal attacks on Annie made her look very foolish and that made the last 4-5 episodes undesirable..

To call Joan Rivers a 'role model' is a slap in the face to everyone who is actually charged with mentoring anyone. If yelling, interrupting, lying, and raising the most spoiled of brats is being a role model, then I feel soory for us all.

I was extremely surprised that Joan acted in such a manner. Until watching the show I respected her work and mannerisms, however; I have a different outlook now. I lost a tremendous amount of respect for her. I believe Annie did win overall and through out the show. I think Joan was declared the winner for show ratings only not on technique or how the game was played.

I'm appalled at the outcome of the 2009 Celebrity Apprentice. Joan Rivers is a disgusting person and very unprofessional. Annie Duke always conducted herself in a professional manner and was much more successful throughout the entire series. How can she lose the competition since she's younger. I don't think Joan's age should have been the reason she won.. age discrimination? Come on. I'd have hoped Mr. Trump would have taken control of the boardroom more and told Joan to 'SHUT UP'. Annie deserved the right to speak without constant interruption from both Joan and her daughter. In my mind 'Celebrity Apprentice' lost credibility after this series.

What an american embarrassment. Joans foul mouth is supposed to represent the elite 'Celebrity Apprentice'? I have black listed her, melissa and now the Apprentice. I hope Vegas doesn't invite her, I will not go there either. She is as bad as the whiner in season 1. I know rivers is a personal friend of the donald and perhaps was afraid of the tongue lashing he would get, since she can't seem to control her mouth. Last year Piers got it over Trace cause he had the heart and this year rivers got it for heart and her mouth should be incarcerated. Annie Duke was a consistent winner throughout and was robbed and Donald knows it.

Annie Duke should have won the apprentice. Donald if you look at this board you made a mistake!! Everyone took sides with Joan because of her history and status and popularity but the truthe is...Annie took a lot of insults and viscious attacks from both Joan and her daughter. She raised the MOST amount of money for Charity.

I do not see what Joan is talking about with regards to Annie being manipulative and a liar and so forth. IT WAS A GAME!!! Anne showed the most amount of class by not attacking Joan back. She is insulting and should not have been allowed to malign Annie with 'you are connected with the mafia, you are like hitler, you are white trash.....' It's dispicable that Trump would try to bamboozle the viewers to think that Joan is the better apprentice. Ludicrous! I am disappointed and I will not support that show anymore. I never post on blogs, however; I felt I had to vent after just watching the finale of Celebrity Apprentice. I was so impressed to hear recently that Donald Trump actually took up for Miss California regarding being true to herself. This final apprentice was absolutely ridiculous. You have all of Joan's NY based fans in the audience cheering her on.....and for what....because of 'STAMINA' at her age? Joan knows that Annie has four children and she still chose to personally attack her on national tv....that is not integrity and class. It's even more amazing that people would rather Joan win!!?? It was Joan's fault that the designers quit so it put Annie in a position to scramble to get her task complete and that should have been addressed further. Joan talked over Annie each time in the board room and Donald just allowed it. I'm sure ultimately it had to do with the company one keeps in the uppercrust social circle!! I'm sure Donald and Joan go way back....but that is not why she should have won. Joan should be ashamed of herself as that is not how I would want to see my Great Grandomother behave!! I think Clint Black got it right on the finale when asked who he would fire, and he answered 'the editor'. I think what people fail to realize is how much editing really goes in to realty television shows. They try to pit one person (or group of people) against another because it makes for better ratings.

I'm sure there truly was animosity between Joan and Annie, and who knows what comments were not captured on film? How can anyone really tell who was more honourable?

When asked tonight who should win, only one of the celebrity apprentices, said they thought Annie should win. Remember - these are the people that spent time with both finalists on and off cameras and, based on their comments, I think the right person was named Celebrity Apprentice.

Well we have really witnessed the bastardization of the concept of reality TV. It is obvious that Donald Trump's show is geared to showcasing his friends, selling his daughter's really inferior jewelry, and filling his own pockets. If any CEO allowed the antics of the Rivers embarassments to happen, his/her credibility and intelligence would definitely be questioned. Joan and Melissa, the facelift queens, were allowed to constantly interupt and berate anyone they wanted to and Dunderhead Trump allowed it. These two women have a lot of class - unfortunately it is all low. I am of the opinion that the fix was in; River's win was in her contract, and Trump signed off on it all. I will not waste my time watching even one minute of any further Celebrity Apprentice activities.

Trump, you need to have something under that crappy hairstyle you have before you try to position yourself as someone who knows the right way to run businesses. Afgter all, you were not able to make money running a casino, Jeez! As for the River twins - you two couldn't fight your way out of a wet paper bag. Ooops, sorry, you are two wet paper bags.

I've always had the greatest admiration for Donald Trump and now I will never watch the Apprentice ever again. The 'tag team' tactics of Joan and Melissa to get away with calling Brande a slut and Annie white trash is beyond my comprehension and this coming from a women whose charity begins with 'God's Love'...is she kidding me? God would be appauled! Annie should hold her head high. She took the ABUSE with grace and dignity. If Joan would have taken the time, she would know that Annie is a highly educated woman. Joan Rivers is a joke. The eratic behavior and clueless nepotism she has displayed is sadly understandable, and I imagine Donald felt a little embarassed about it when compared to his presenting his offspring as some sort of business experts.
This is only an example of Trump's lack of objectivity, and promising her a win is probably the only way he could get her to come back to his show after her childish exit.
For the most part the quality of the apprentices was abysmal, but I think it is very revealing on how removed from reality most celebrities are. In this sense I think Trump is doing society a solid.

I am glad of the outcome of this season for the following reasons: First, I must state that I also have not ever commented on line about any show, blog, sport, etc. ever, however, this show ticked me off soo bad...
1. It showed us all what a class act Ms. Duke was. Way to go you trashy poker player you. (sarcasm)
2. It revealed the true colours of Ms. Rivers and her daughter, which reminded me of grade 4. Their careers (if you can call Melissa's a career) are over as we now know it. They have clearly lost respect of many a persons, by reading the nurmerous blogs above.
3. It illustrated to us clearly what a fixed horse race really looks like. There were so many tips in this final episode as to how this was true. The only other apprentice who could have cared less what Trump thinks was everyone else's fav - Jesse James. He made a joke as to why he picked Annie, however, the others, including washed up 'give him a second chance' Rodman, basically were reading cue cards as to who they 'thought' should win. The answer was obvious. Even poor Piers was forced to give his opinion and the criteria for 'winning' the final event was geared toward 'not' building money for charity, which is the opposite reason why Jesse was fired - for not calling on his money honey. Bs.
Sad.
While I can say I won't watch in the future, I'm curious if he will ever fess up to this based upon feedback and want to see that reaction. It won't ever happen as he is too proud to admit to anything. Sad as I thought this was his one avenue of his life where the money didn't mean that much. Also, isn't anyone curious as to what the heck was on that note when Melissa got canned???

I had about 80% respect for Donald before the finale. I've lost enough to say it's down to less than 10%. He chose Joan out of peer pressure, poor judgement, and because I think he's afraid of Annie. When Annie said that no real board room would allow character assasination, she hurt his feelings. Annie showed true character in the board room meetings. Well done Annie!

Annie should have won. She played the game like Pears did last season. She kept her cool and always produced. Joan Rivers is a disgusting and vile person, constantly interrupting anything Annie would say in fear that people would hear the truth. Joan Rivers is a LOSER with a plastic face. I am VERY disappointed in Donald Trump. It is almost like he picked Joan Rivers because she was an old friend. At least he got the OLD part right. Annie, you were great and you were ripped off. You have a lot of new fans.

Hey Donald, do you think your viewers are complete idiots? You showed us that you and your show were dishonest. The fix was in from the very beginning. It was fun to watch Nasty Joan and her spoiled ugly no talent daughter make total asses of themselves but selecting her as the winner was a really bad business move on your part. If you read these comments you will see that a majority of us will not be viewing next years show. Finally , would you still support her if she compared you to Hitler, and accused you of having ties to Tony Soprano. Bada Bing, Donald, this time you were not a wise guy.

Donald was going to champion Joan Rivers as 'Goddess of All Holy' from day one. Her Highness was vile, trashy, and could only see her well-trained brat of a daughter with tunnel vision that the rest of the world saw as the truth. Like mother, like daughter. Donald would not stop Joan from constantly trashing Annie, never interrupt her rants and allow Annie to defend all the crap Joan dished. I had high respect from the beginning of this season, but I will not give one more minute to Trump. I am not a poker player, knew nothing of Annie before this season, but came to see someone not in the 'circle of Donald' who raised enormous money for her charity and not get the credit she deserved. Annie should take great pleasure in the fact she is a real beauty and will never be the plastic freak Joan is. Melissa-take a look in the mirror and STOP. Annie, good for you! You truly won and the deck was stacked against you from day one. Know in your heart you are a true winner and not a fake one. Good Luck and know those two could never achieve your level of class, as they don't have any.

To Annie this was all just another game to be won. To Joan, it was so much more than that. Joan won not only because Annie let Joan get the best of her, but even at the very end, Annie still did not truly understand the meaning of what being the apprentice is all about. She touted to Trump how SHE raised more money and SHE was better than Joan and how SHE must be superior in this category or that. She never once mentioned the importance of the mission; again it was all about her and her own needs. In contrast, Joan never tried to sell herself to Trump; she instead focused on how much good the both of them did for their respective charities and the quality of work each of them did in their missions. In this way Joan truly understood what being the apprentice was all about. And in the end Trump apparently agreed that Joan was the right pick after all.

Oh my God! Had Annie made the same horrible comments as Joan, Donald would have ripped her apart! They both did a great job in their respective tasks, however, Annie is far superior to Joan when it comes handling pressure. Is it me or didn't Joan cause them both to lose the party planners? Unquestionably, Trump was partial to Joan from the beginning! Trump is ridiculous!

I have enjoyed this show more than any other show in years. Clint made a comment about the way the show was edited so did we get to see the real deal?
Great show Donald but from what I saw you made the wrong choice.
So Donald...Your fired!!
If you did it on purpose to build a bigger deal out of it well then, that is just great show business but it would really take the realness out of it for me. The reason is because until now you have been spot on.
If the whole show is really just a hoax it is a great one.

I've never cared much for Joan River's comedy but the woman is horrible and so is her daughter. I can tell you if my mother had acted like Joan did I certainly wouldn't have been proud of her. Annie you are the celebrity apprentice in my book regardless, you have more class in your little finger than Joan has in her whole body. I can't help but wonder if it was already decided before you all came together tonight. How rude it was for Donald Trump not to listen to what actually happened with the designers although he must have known as he could watch the same as we did. You made a totally wrong decision on this one. I personally as well as others that I talk with are totally disappointed in the decision. I am inclined to think that this wasn't a 'fair' outcome. Eventhough you have been approved for another season, I don't care if I watch or not.

Its a sad reflection of our society. That people with the means and right connection get away with a lot of c**p. On a hind sight, I agree that Trump has his mind set on Joan winning from the start. Dear Mr. Trump, You are an astute individual. Unfortunately this railroad job that you helped to orchestrate, deprived Annie of what in my opinion was a clear and transparent win. As someone has previously said, 'the fix for Joan Rivers and her indulged, ill mannered, foul-mouthed daughter, was in'. The bad apple apparently does not fall far from the tree. Little Orphan Annie was certainly no angel, but with Joan as the Wicked Witch and her daughter as the Slobbering Hunchback, Annie certainly had no problem staring in the role of Snow White.
Mr. Trump, over the years I have respected you for many different reasons. My young son used to listen to your 'Art of the deal' on his little toy tape player, really looked up to you and successfully patterned his carrier after yours. As I watched this Celeb. Apprentice develop, I began to smell a rat, but figured your good and reasoned judgment would sort it out in the end. Not long ago, following,
the outrageous display of of one of your Miss USA judges, Perez Hilton, I really was looking forward to your commentary on what was obviously one of the most the most disgusting and unprofessional displays from a judge supposedly operating under the rules of a well-respected Beauty Pageant. (Please see the rules of the pageant). After holding my breath, I watched you waffle on that as well. This is probably really not the time or space enough to discuss that travesty. And by the way, the travesty was NOT about who did or did not win the contest. Mr. Trump, you are developing an embarrassing behavior pattern. I believe you have blown whatever self-respect and social-political capital you had left. You remember the old saying: ' you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of them all of the time' I'm always amazed at how we can all be fooled some of the time, but the public always eventually figures it out. I may be wrong, but I doubt it. I think you are going to see a tremendous backlash. I for one will not waste my time with any of the celebrity programs any longer. By Golly, I might even take up poker to get a little moral clarity! After all,at least in the old movies the poker cheats seem to always manage to get shot. I believe I'm beginning to see Who Will Be This Seasons Biggest Loser! I could be wrong, but I doubt it. What do think? Jonson from Visconsin

Its ridiculous that Joan Rivers won. How in the world is she a good 'Role Model' because she is old? She was incredibly rude, undermining, and conceded. Joan said some unforgivable things, and Annie handled it with a lot of integrity. I thought Joan did a great job at embarrassing herself on national television. As for Melissa, she made herself look like a complete psychopath, it was absolutely hilarious. All in all Donald was a Joan Rivers Butt Kisser and everyone else is clearly afraid of her. Joan the MasterMay 11th, 2009 - 06:02:14

Sure Annie was a manipulator, but Joan was her master in that she cleverly used Annie's status as a poker player early on to her advantage, placing Annie into a box she could not escape from. She did this by slapping labels on her like Hitler, dishonorable and later on mafia, invoking the seedy-side imagery of Vegas crooks, dirty deals and con-artists. An early example of this: 'You people give money with blood on it.' 'Raising a corpse from the dead' I believe the strategy is called. Such things are powerful symbols, and Joan built a house of cards out of it, painting for us a profile of Annie as a conniving and crooked liar, one who played dirty pool to win. Joan on the other hand painted herself as the archetypical opposite, an honest and forthright businesswoman, one who could be trusted to get the job done. How amusing that Annie fancied herself as the manipulator, yet all the while it may have been she who was manipulated the whole time! Kudos to Joan, she deserved to win.

Annie got screwed. Annie was playing the game from episode one and rubbed many people the wrong way. However, she out played, out classed and out smarted Joan. Anyone who watched the whole season would be crazy to say otherwise.
Donald's decision appears to be based solely on ratings. My estimate is 95% of the population knows the name Joan Rivers and being generous maybe 50% knows Annie Duke. Donald wanted the bigger name to be 'His Celebrity Apprentice.' In real life, and if ratings weren't a factor, the way Annie played would have been much more appreciated and deserving to win.

My two cents. Hopefully next season of the show doesn't include celebrities.

Annie Duke is a heroine for being an intelligent game-player and keeping her composure respectable and professional. Trump sunk pretty low for the sake of ratings!!!

I know that there's a lot of creative editing done for the sake of those ratings, but please! I would have rather seen Annie compete in the Finale against either Clint or Brande. Joan didn't even deserve to be there!

Trump should have pointed out that Anne was correct with losing the designer because Joan was so rude to the designers. I think it was a joke that both Donald and his daughter referred to Joan as a role model. It really bothered me that they made Jesse look so bad when He was trying to help someone with a serious problem. I really enjoyed the entire season until the past couple of shows when they let Joan do and say whatever she wanted (including all of her lies). He doesn't give a fuck about who wings because they don't do shit that has to do with his money. He only cares about ratings because that is what keeps him on the air. The fact that people don't realize this is confusing to me...

Well anyway the fact that Joan preaches honor and morals is fucking despicable. How she became famous is beyond me, she treats people like dirt. Neither Joan nor Annie are perfect. Annie bragged and took credit for a lot ideas, etc, which was a bit of a turn off. Joan, on the other hand, was like watching a 75-year-old bipolar borderline she-banshee high on crack. Both she and her psycho-ho-daughter are in serious need of mental help, as are Drunk Rodman and Tom 'the unfunny' Green, who were both useless on the show. Not funny, just childish. This show was clearly rigged in Joan's favor. Trump and the producers wanted to milk as much conflict out of the situation as they could. This wasn't a real competition. It was a farce. And the angry clown with the loudest voice won. In the end, Trump is the real fool. No one likes a rigged game. Bye bye Apprentice. See ya later, Donald Skunk-Head. You're fired.

I thought Jesse was great all season long and they kept giving him a hard time about his wife. He is a very classy guy and he made the decision to keep his wife and all of her celebrity friends out of it. It was obvious why Jesse said those things about Rodman...because he has been there and was trying to help. 'The Donald' did not give Jesse the respect he deserved!

Somebody also talked about its all because of ratings...this is true during the season and that is the only reason he kept Joan around. But to end the season like that it is such a joke...I only hope that everyone follows through with what they are saying...do not watch it next season.

And that will give us a little piece of mind...Donald, your an idiot and your fired!

Perhaps her skin is pulled so tight over her botox face that it is affecting her brain. Trump, couldn't you have done better than getting and more importantly keeping her on the show.

Blaine Trump is on Board of directors of Joan's charity, Trump has been a longtime friend of Joan, rigged show. Joan was allowed to play character assassination the entire show, but did a lousy job on the show, eg. jewelry auction ..without Stewey's $12,000 out of pity bid, Donald thanked by directly labeling Brande dumb, and shill bidders from Donald, 'I'll have some people there as well', Kotu would have only made a single sale of this 'sells very, very well' (as Trump self-advertised it LOL .. it seems that anything less that 'very, very, very, very well' means sells crap in his terminology.. ) jewelry ?

And firing Kloe because of past DUI ? Can anyone, including Trump, really have a tiny bit of doubt Dennis got charged w DUI too ?

...likely other times too, and he's renown for beating women, that's ok ?

Joan must really have been much worse than shown, since show has been edited to make Trump's ( or Drumpf's, his father was Friedriech Drumpf.. why not call him a nazi, Joan ? ) decisions on firings look better.

The show just concluded a little while ago and after making my first comment then thinking about the format of the show over these many weeks, raising money for charity I started to get mad.

I've been the producer of many charitable events donating time and recruiting my friends and their friends to help, never making a profit for the effort.

What disturbes me is the fact that Donald the billionaire is making millions from these shows getting people like Annie, Joan and the others to tap there friends costing him almost nothing and awarding the task winner the shameful sum of $20,000, Donald seems proud of that figure, WOW what a way to get richer.

Donald, I hope America sees through your method of getting richer and disapproves of your method, I'd say shame, shame but let us all realize its all about the bottom line.
