NBC is using MySpace to cull talent tape for the reality talent competition, “America's Got Talent.”
The NBC and FremantleMedia Enterprises produced show stars new judge Nick Cannon, and returning judges David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne, and Piers Morgan.
“America’s Got Talent” is a Peacock network summer staple which debuts Tuesday, June 23 (9-11p.m. ET) and will continue Wednesday, June 24 (9-10p.m. ET).
The series has already been to several major cities around the country, but the addition of the MySpace submissions will open up the search to every corner of America.
MySpace users and aspiring contestants will again have the opportunity to audition for the current season of the show by uploading videos showcasing their talents at a special “America’s Got Talent” community hosted by MySpace here.
“America’s Got Talent” video submissions will be accepted on MySpace starting May 1 through May 11.
The show’s producers will review submissions and selected participants will take part in an audition show dedicated solely to MySpace submissions.
Contestants will compete for slots in the semi-finals and finals. All of the acts will be eligible for the $1 million grand prize.
