That was the poorest excuse for an apology I have ever heard - 'I'm a comedian - I didn't mean anything by it' - that might fly if he were tashing an adult - but a 16 year old girl. You could not pay me to go see Jamie Foxx ever!

Billy ray is too much of a gentleman. Foxx deserves a black eye & a fat lip & should be suspended from the radio.

That was not an apology. He treated it as some type of joke. Justifying what he said by saying he is a comedian is lame. Whether a person is 16, 36, or 106 the comments were vicious and uncalled for. It was not humor, it was a vile personal attack against someone who never did him any harm.
He should not be allowed to have this instance slid into history as easily as it appears to be happening.

Jamie Foxx has a habit of speaking before his brain catches up - not cool.
Why on earth would he pick on this teenager anyway? Maybe he should stick to scripts.

Jamie....However you meant it, it still sound stupid coming from a father of a teenager...

Jamie, come on please...
You should know better as you have a daughter too. Who are you to comment on Miley's youth & innocence? Visit 'Jamie Foxx disses Miley Cyrus - Innocence Falls Away?' on YouTube to see a delicately done vid on this wholesome teenager's dilemma...

First I read the comments, then I listen to the tapes. In the tapes you could hear in Jamie's voice that he was getting off on what he was saying, by that I mean, you could hear the excitement in him. Later I caught the lame apology on Leno, and as I posted on another site:' When giving a sincere apology you never end it with a *but* or an excuse', in his case being, 'you know I am a comedian. I also posted that if Foxx were truly sorry he would take his teenage daughter to the home of the Cyrus'(with their' permission of course) and apologize to the entire family, and show his own daughter what to do when you make a mistake and really are ashamed and want to make up for it. Not to get hung up on the race thing too much here, but if it had been an adult white man making remarks about a 16 y.o. A.A. girl such as Foxx's whether they were racist or not there would be a public outcry of disdain. Though Foxx wasn't the one that called the child a 'white B' word, it was someone on his show and they were A.A. and it was racist. Since it was his show, it was his job to say, that is over the line. Instead he kept up with the morally objectionable ranting and raving on a 16 year old little girl. The comedy act I do not fall for, I think he meant what he said.

Some comedians will say anything just to get a laugh and say it's just in the name of comedy. I always thought comedy was supposed to be something funny not mean nor disgustingly x-rated.

'Make a sex tape and grow up' - good lord, she's only 16. Isn't that one of the problems in this day and age - trying to get kids to grow up too soon????

if a white comedian had said that about a young black entertainer - all hell would break loose, and the Rev. Jackson and Sharpton would be on it like gangbusters!

There is no excuse, comedic or otherwise for saying such things about a young girl. He is an adult, a father, and a public figure who many look up to and his apology, siting his work as a comedian as an excuse just doesn't cut it. It would be one thing to say she'd acted like a spoiled brat, but to pull out the stop and bring sex, drugs and physical appearance into it brings it up to a whole different level.
Sadly, I have lost all respect for the man.

Jamie Foxx should not even be called a man. He is pathetic at being a respectful man. GET OUT OF THE INDUSTRY- NOBODY LIKES YOU!
