Ryan Seacrest and Mario Lopez at loggerheads?
No way claim the two media moguls who each host top rated shows.
This week’s headline-making battle - “Mario Lopez In Bitter Feud with ‘Idol’ Star: ‘Extra’ Host Competing with Ryan Seacrest to be Top Dog!”
But are the two hardest working men in Hollywood really at odds with each other?
Lopez caught up with Seacrest at last night’s American Idol where they both found the "feud" amusing.
Seacrest tells “Extra’s” Terri Seymour, “The irony is that two nights before this happened…I served him dinner in my dining room and didn’t charge him....Listen, Mario and I have known each other for so many years. I used to bother him at the gym...at Park Point when I could barely afford an apartment."
Explaining how the so-called war of words began, Lopez says, “I got complimented by Taboo. He said I was the Mexican Ryan Seacrest which I loved..."
Seacrest responds, “The way I heard it, it went down like this. Mario said, 'I'm not the Mexican Ryan Seacrest. I can sing, I can dance. I've been on Broadway. I actually do stuff.' That’s what I read." Lopez tells Seacrest, “Well, you read it incorrectly.”
So, is there really a rift between the two long-time friends? Lopez tells Seymour, “The only issue I have with him is that I've been waiting to get invited back to his house because I want to get the full on tour..." Seacrest adds, “We're not feuding. I love you brother…Just don’t date any girls I date and we'll be fine."
“Extra’s” interview with Ryan and Mario airs tonight.
