terrible idea
it didnt work for pepsi, its not gonna work for sci fi
Dave Howe, I've got two words for you:
New Coke
Sad thing to see how narrow minded these people are... They're not only making a bad decision on this one: they're also ofending their own fanbase every time they talk about 'why' they're doing the change...
Ok... If they keep that, I'll just start to watch the shows I like on the net, while they exist, so they don't get advertise money from me... I hope many people will do the same, so the numbers can reflect the stupidity of what they are doing...
The most curious part is: 'marketing' people think they are sooo cool, so everyone whos not like them is a 'freak'. Newsflash for them: the world is, and have ever been, owned by Jocks and Geeks. The more the world gets civilized, more power to the geeks and nerds and alikes. When a Geek gets too much money he/she becomes suitable to be called 'cool' to, even when the person don't give a damn... Ludicrous.
Have they EVER tried to actually ASK people if they have any problem watching a channel called Sci-Fi? Where they able to get their collective heads out of the 'cool guys' office and see the world outside? I don't think so.
I think its a terable idea to change the name, I say if its not broken
then dont mess with it!
