Actress Rebecca Romijn has landed the starring role in the upcoming ABC series "Eastwick."

The show is based on John Updike's novel "The Witches of Eastwick" that was later turned into a 1987 film starring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Variety reports that Rebecca Romijn is back to work at ABC after appearing as Alexis Meade on their comedy "Ugly Betty."
Romijn will play Roxie, the lead character on "Eastwick."
The cast reportedly includes Lindsay Price, Veronica Cartwright and Jaime Ray Newman.
Variety reports that Maggie Friedman will write the series and David Nutter is directing for Warner Bros. TV.
Romijn married actor Jerry O'Connell (Stand By Me) in 2007, and the couple had twin girls in 2008.
Romijn famously played the blue morphing villain, Mystique, in the "X-Men" series of films.
