Heroes lives on for another season.
The sci-fi ht series for NBC will be back according to entertainment president Angela Bromstad, who released a statement to the Hollywood Reporter.
The series has suffered a decrease in ratings this past year. The saving grace for "Heroes" is that it butts up against mega hit comedy "The Office" - the network's top-rated series among adults 18-49 this season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the likelihood is that the show will actually be getting a fourth season after all.
The catch is that it will not be a full-length season.
The new season might allow "Heroes" creator Tim Kring and Bryan Fuller an opportunity to turn things around.
According to the report, Heroes is still one of NBC's highest performing shows, and the likelihood is that a fresh order of 18 episodes is on the way. The show's international success is understood to be a factor in the decision.
