New Year's on FOX- Scott Weiland - "Happy In Galoshes" Album Release Party Hosted by Scott Weiland - Arrivals - Lavo Nightclub at Palazzo Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas, NV, USA © PRN / PR PhotosSpike Feresten and Mark Thompson will host the event live from the Las Vegas Strip.Robbie Knievel will show his daredevil DNA off as he attempts a motorcycle jump over an erupting Volcano.Grammy Award-winning musician, front man for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, Scott Weiland will perform at The Mirage in Las Vegas, along with David Cook for the show on Wednesday, Dec. 31 (11:00 PM-12:30 AM ET live; CT/MT/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.Spike Feresten of Talkshow with Spike Feresten and Emmy winner Mark Thompson of Hole in the Wall will report live from the Las Vegas Strip as they count down to 2009 with celebrity guests and performances by some of the year’s top musical artists. As 2008 comes to a close, the event will move to New York City to ring in the new year as the world-famous New Year’s Eve Ball makes its descent into Times Square. Additional musical guests and artists scheduled to appear are TBA.Shortly after midnight, world-renowned daredevil Robbie Knievel will attempt a death-defying 200-foot jump over the recently renovated Mirage Volcano. The son of the late famous stuntman Evel Knievel, Robbie Knievel began jumping his bicycle at age 4 and riding motorcycles three years later. At 8 years old, he performed his first show with his father at Madison Square Garden, and by age 12, he was on tour with his father. Robbie has completed over 350 jumps and setting 20 world records.Knievel’s New Year’s Eve jump marks the 41st anniversary of his father Evel Knievel’s horrific jump at Caesars Palace.“How better to draw the world’s attention to the new Mirage and our fiery main attraction then with a spectacular stunt on one of the hottest nights of the year?” said Scott Sibella, President and COO of The Mirage. “Having Robbie jump our new Volcano on New Year’s Eve will provide the perfect cap to our multi-million dollar transformation.”

I have never been so disgusted as I was New Years eve. I don't understand how people can be so deceptive to the public. Robbie did NOT jump the volcano. He wasn't even near it. Fox, Robbie and anyone else involved should be ashamed at this scam.
