Wife Goes On.  Tonight's finale of The Starter Wife will air on USA.

The show is knee deep in social satire and a skewering of Hollywood hypocrisy and superficiality. Molly Kagan (Messing) navigates her self-absorbed ex (David Alan Basche) and a 7-year-old daughter who wants to keep up with her rich friends.

Molly swears off men and struggles to make her own way by turning her private journal into a humor column. A writing instructor Zach ( Hart Bochner) invades her mind with lustful thoughts and a journal thief takes her bread and butter one fateful night.

Messing dazzles in fantasy sequences that cast her as everything from Elizabeth I to Young Frankenstein.

Chris Diamantopoulos is  Rodney, an interior designer who becomes romantically entangled with a closeted macho star. Judy Davis reprises her Emmy-winning role as Joan, a recovering alcoholic longing to reunite the passion of her marriage with her husband (Ronny Cox). Joan's rehab work brings her into the seductive snare of a sotted Oscar-winning actor (Daniel Gerroll).

In the finale, at Lou's wedding, Molly makes a decision about her future with Zach. Catch the Starter Wife season finale "Woman Over The Influence" tonight at 10/9C on USA Network.
