Jay Leno talks about the new slot on NBC

At the NBC press conference, Marc Graboff shared the pain at NBC was widespread in the restructuring.
Jay Leno in primetime is a gamble. The Jay Leno Show (working title) hopes to keep the juggernaut of Leno devotees with NBC. This was done to keep the cash cow car collector from heading over to FOX or somewhere else which would have been disastrous to NBC.
Reportedly the new Leno Show will be less expensive to produce per episode to make than a scripted drama, and NBC seems to be backing away from that format.
Leno claims ot have more meaty "newsmakers" on the prime-time show than he does on The Tonight Show.
