Tina Fey's random childhood horror revealed

Actress Tina Fey, what a story © Janet Mayer / PR PhotosAs a five year-old child playing in her front yard, a stranger slashed Fey's cheek in an attack. "It was in, like, the front yard of her house, and somebody who just came up, and she just thought somebody marked her with a pen," Fey's husband, Jeff Richmond, says in an interview with Vanity Fair.The "30 Rock" star has never discussed the incident before this revelation. Whether the person who did this was ever found out and caught also remains unknown."That scar was fascinating to me," Richmond says. "This is somebody who, no matter what it was, has gone through something. And I think it really informs the way she thinks about her life."Fey reportedly avoided mentioning the incident because "it's impossible to talk about it without somehow seemingly exploiting it and glorifying it."The mark has never held her career back. "It's really almost like I'm kind of able to forget about it, until I was on-camera, and it became a thing of 'Oh, I guess we should use this side' or whatever."Adds Fey: "Everybody's got a better side."
