Last night's two hour finale was really an emotional roller coaster ride, if you have been following the entire season seven of ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars."
Season seven's DWTS winner: - Brooke Burke -- Los Angeles, CA, USA İ David Gabber / PR Photos
The win could have easily gone to Lance Bass or Warren Sapp, considering how many fans were behind the two men. It was touching to see how Sapp and Bass both bonded and loved their pro partners, Lacey and Kym. Warren totally broke down talking about Kym during his B-roll segment prior to the lead up for their final dance. It was genuine.

Cloris Leachman did not go gently into that goodnight, the feisty octogenarian played up her comic chops to the hilt as she appeared in a box outside the CBS studio lot, with a false eyelash stuck to her cheek, makeup askew as she "stalked" the show - wanting back in. Then producers unleashed Frau Blucher on the Farmer's Market crowds as she asked people who they were rooting for.

Even Kim Kardashian goofed on her "big butt" rep and danced to the song that celebrates baby's "back" and Susan Lucci looked forever young and danced beautifully; she is one of those women like Loren, Mirren and Welch who just will not stop being sexy regardless of their chronological years.

The winner last night was Brooke Burke, who was made to dance with Derek Hough. Their various ambitious dances netted the most perfect "10" scores during the season. Technically the two were very strong and consistent.
In the end, Warren place first runner-up, and Lance didn't beat his friend Joey Fatone's second place showing, Bass came in third.

A very slimmed-down and stunningly beautiful Alicia Keys performed, as did Miley Cyrus. First season seven elimination victim Jeffrey Ross and Edyta performed the quickstep. Ross restrained himself as he roasted the contestants, and really edged it with the Clay Aiken-Lance Bass closet comments. He did poke a big stick at Sapp about his weight: Warren, youre an inspiration. How can you dance eight hours a day every day for three months and stay so out of shape? Ross teased Cloris about her age, but in the end they all took the rated PG-13 (for Ross) barbs in stride.
Always quick with a line, Tom Bergeron was in fine form last night. He also asked about Cloriss return to Broadway plans, but Leachman explained that the economy had effectively shut down the Great White way, with that 75% of Broadway is closing in early January.
Until we meet under the mirrored ball again next season.
