He reveals to “Extra” who convinced him to the take the role of Dr. Tony Gates in the first place – George Clooney.“I haven’t told many people this. I was at lunch. I wasn’t at lunch WITH him, but we were sitting and he said, ‘You should go and do ER.’ He was the one who told me to go on ER,” Stamos explains.Stamos opens up about his experience on the long-running medical drama declaring, “I think I’ve learned more on this show [ER] than I have in my twenty five years of being in the business. It’s been a real honor to be on this show ." “Extra’s” interview with John Stamos airs tonight, Wednesday, November 12th.
