Past 'Idol' contestant suicide on Paula Abdul's street

Paula Abdul's privacy and life has been intruded upon, as a fan who was reportedly also an ex contestant of the show has committed suicide on her street near her home. Sad news- Paula Abdul - American Idol Introduces Their New Fourth Judge Kara DioGuardi at American Idol NYC Tryouts on August 26, 2008 - Chelsea Piers - New York City, NY, USA © Janet Mayer / PR PhotosA neighbor of Paula Abdul's reported to TMZ.com the deceased woman had been seen repeatedly in the vicinity the last few weeks.The car where the body was discovered reportedly had a license plate that read "ABL LV" and a picture of Paula hanging from the rear-view mirror. An LAPD spokesperson stated, “This has been ruled an apparent suicide and the coroner’s office is now investigating. The body was found around 6 p.m. Tuesday.”The deceased woman has been tentatively identified as a past contestant on the fifth season of "Idol", Paula Goodspeed.

Former contestant Goodspeed performed "Proud Mary" before Abdul, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell during tryouts.Abdul also released a statement, saying, “I am deeply shocked and saddened at what transpired yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to her family.”
