ABC 'Pushing Daisies' instead of Obama; infomercial airs tonight
By April MacIntyre Oct 29, 2008, 16:06 GMT

Obama TV tonight: Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Senator Barack Obama of Illinois EPA/MIKE THEILER
The Obama infomercial airs tonight at 8pm ET on Fox, NBC, CBS, Univision, MSNBC, BET and - but not ABC or CNN.
Sen. Barack Obama will air his presidential candidate 30-minute infomercial tonight. Not since 1992 when Texan Independent candidate for president H. Ross Perot talked to Americans directly has this happened.
ABC News reports that a casual Obama will entertain "average voters" around a table to demonstrate the "economic challenge the nation is facing."
Obama will also use his own story of frustration with Big Insurance as his mother's last months of life were wasted fighting the insurers tooth and nail for honoring their coverage and plan she had paid into.
Gen. Colin Powell (Ret.) was rumored to be appearing in the infomercial as well.
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., today derided Obama's plan to delay the World Series in a televised speech on CNN.

Good Time to rent a movie.. get the popcorn Laura
Since Obama keeps refering to his mom's battle with the insurance companies -- I just keep wondering what her son the lawyer was doing to help duringtthat time? I am a Democrat but that bothers me. I am a lawyer and have helped my mom over the years with insurance companies etc.
I find it interesting that Obama wants to 'spread the wealth' yet spends millions of dollars on campaign rhetoric and TV time when there are so many people out of work, out of house, out of food and medicine. Talk about opulence. I would like to see a list of all his contributors and how much. Somehow, he doesn't seem to 'count' when it comes to wealth and dispersion. You can bet your bottom dollar (and that's all you will have left if he gets in) that I will be doing something else more important like playing with my granddaughter.
ABC & CNN are not running the infomercial because the Obama campaign didn't buy time with them. Otherwise they would just like the others. They are no more noble than other television stations.
Secondly, all McCain has to say is that it is interupting the World Series. He underestimates the American people. His pandering to Joe the Plumber and Joe Sixpacks are a failed attempt to identify with the working person. He is a millionaire and has been for some time. He owns 7 - 8 homes. He is not a common man, he is not regular folk. Neither is Palin. They are basically mocking us. Regardless in his underestimation he thinks that the 'Joes' of the country are only concerned with the World Series and should be some how upset that Obama has delayed it.
Listen McCain, we are worried about our jobs, our money, our mortgages, our 401k retirement plans, our healthcare. We are worried about the war, our children and this election.
You would have had my vote except for you have changed who you are, flipping on everything you stood for. You have also mocked this American process of choosing our president by making it a circus, with Joe the Plumber and Palin. No one cares about Ayers or ACORN, we wanted to know that you would secure our future, but all that is raised is doubts. I think your mental capacity is diminished and will continue...so a vote for you will be a vote for Palin. I am staying home next Tuesday. McCain/Palin is a circus.
Thank you all! I was beginning to think I was the only sane person left in this country. I hope voters in America will see this for what is; another chance for the minority of media insider’s to force their AGENDA on the silent majority. We need to demonstrate the power of Democracy and the Free Market by refusing to reward this behavior. I will be watching ABC tonight, and I hope you will as well! Don’t believe what they force feed you. I have all confidence Common Sense will make a comeback in our County! Bless You All…
Dayton,
You sound like a reasonable person and I hope you do vote next Tuesday. I have been following this campaign very closely and I am encouraged by the poise, consistancy, and focus on the issues of the Obama campaign. There have been many times Obama could have jumped on the name calling/character assasination band wagon. Even in the last debate when he was given the oppportunity to bash Sarah Palin-and she deserves it, he instead he took the high road calling her 'competent' and outlined his set of policies. I think what people need to understand is that the government can only do so much. They can hold CEO's and businesses accountable when greed gets in the way of the public good, they can offer scholarships and tax breaks for education, they can drill for oil or give incentives for fuel efficient cars. But it is the American people that will ultimately be responsible to not spend past their means, foster a learning environment for their children, and minimize the waste of our natural resources. Obama has had a campaign of Inclusion-trying to unite the American people towards this goal. McCain would rather throw attacks at this vision through slander, fear and distraction. What McCain done to try and bring us together? Nothing. Which is why Obama has my vote.
I look forward to enjoying the 30-minutes informercial. I'd rather have that than name calling and character assasination. Hope we get to a day when we can focus on issues and not attacks. Obama has my vote and admiration any day.
Fox describes the Obama time buy as 'news' in the TV listings. It's not news; it's a paid political infomercial.
Sorry to all the cry babies in here that can't handle a 30 minute statement from Obama. Since when does campaning have restrictions on how much you can campaign. Sorry once again to all of you, who can't get over Obama's background. Since, you are still voting for McCain/Palin it must be becuase you are racist. If you look at any other side of this debate, let it be economic, foreign, or domestic, Obama hands down is the right person for the job. No if ands or buts. That is why even Republicans are voting for Obama this time. Open your eyes, ears, and hearts and maybe you will make the right decision.
Another home not watching this. Then again 'Pushing Daisies' isn't much of an option either. If I have the tube on, I may have to watch something with my wife from one of her House DVDs. Help. Me.
I will be watching Obama! That's why I sent in my donations...to help get Obama elected! There are so many other channels for those who choose not to watch. VOTE OBAMA, and give America the change it deserves!
Peace...
Myssa
More of the Obama circus - this time taken to the ultimate level of egomaniacle attempts to get the press drooling and panting over him once again. No thanks.
I'll vote for the country, for our future, for our unborn children, and for a chance at getting out of this mess. And no on the job training needed.
McCain-Palin 2008
'Pushing Daisies'- Insert McCain Old Geyser joke here....
hey everyone knows this will be well scripted, but you can get a feel for the person and the way they think (or not) and one thing obama can do is think well. this dude is seriously smart and will surround himself with seriously smart advisors to make up for his inexperience in different areas. they will also have varied opinions. it's about time we had extremely bright people in charge of our large complex country in a ever increasingly connected world. he also is more of a centrist than the media portrays him to be and since he is a relative new-comer people do need to see him for a length of time to get a more accurate impression of him beside sound bytes. i suggest people google him for extended videos where he is interviewed--bypass the stump speeches, they tell little--because you will see how he approaches issues.
Tuesday will not get here quick enough. I will show my faith in my country and all it stands for because I know it is not perfect. A thirty minute infomercial is a waste of money, but more importantly a waste of time. You can always get more money, but try to get back the minutes you will spend watching it.
Thank goodness for a break in the politics. I will still be reading instead of watching tv (love that college homework!), but it is nice to see that some stations are tired of the 2-year long campaign also.
Obama is trying WAY too hard to win this election. An infomercial?? Come on! Is he trying to sell a stain-remover or trying to become the President of United States? This is probably the most pathetic move a candidate made so far to get elected as President.
Honestly, how did we get to this point? How could anyone in their right minds vote for guy who's middle name is Hussein? I've been a Democrat for years and I will not be voting for Barrack Hussein Obama next week. I'd rather have Bush in office for another 4 years than have Obama take my hard-earned money and give it to the poor.
Underneath it all, something is not right. Something stinks, just like it did when we went to war in Iraq. My gut is telling me something is really wrong here.
All I hear are people whining who did not contribute enough to the Republican coffers to have a McCain infomercial of their own. Here's what I would have like to see - just one person asking Palin if Alaska suceeds in seceding - would she move her family back to America and stay an American or would she become an alien Alaskan holding America hostage to alien Alaskan big oil interests? I have no doubt what the answer to that question would be. Just watch her welcome address to the 2007 Secessionist party conference held in Fairbanks. And note her clothes in that speech - no wonder the Republican party had to pay so much to have her dressed up. Remind you of anyone? A Barbie doll perhaps?
Thank you, Gabe. Truer words were never spoken. And Bill, I am afraid FOX would not recognize 'news' if it slapped them in the face.
The truth of the matter is that the majority of this country voted for 'W'. As a country we are clearly lacking something. It's no wonder we are in the state we are in. We are going to continue to go downhill as a country and get what we deserve as long as the people in this country continue to think the way we do, judge others the way we do, and act the way we do. What I like about Obama is that he has a history of being a community organizer. What we need in this country is someone who can bring us together and encourage us to take responsibility for ourselves and how we treat one another. I don't think many Americans want to do that. They want to point fingers. Well, until we as a country are willing to look in the mirror and say, 'what did I do today to help another person, who was I judging, how did I behave, and what can I do better tomorrow?' we as a country are going to continue to elect people to 'represent' us who do just that. They represent a group of people who are trying to pass the buck, blame others, and avoid social and moral responsibility except when it benifits them.
My hope is that we as a country will elect leaders who have demonstrated their understanding of this principle, and have acted accordingly. But in the end I guess the burden falls on us to act accordingly first. Then and only then will we find leaders who represent who we are.
Obama's ads did NOT 'delay the world series'! You have got to be kidding me! He just bought air time when it was available, as ANY campaign does when it can. The Obama campaign just happens to have the most money to spend in any race ever. WHY? Because many, many people have given him lots and lots of money. Good for them!
McCain/Palin have my vote and I am not a racist. Let me clarify for you why I am not voting for Obama. It is not because I have a prejudice against him or want to discriminate and oppress him in any way. I do not think he is experienced enough plain and simple. Yes he is smart. I have met a lot of smart people who make not so smart decisions. I want a builder who has built houses not one who talks about it.
well here's what we should have done used all the money we are giving to the rich on this bailout to buy the houses for people that are in trouble or near that point if that was done the whole thing would be a non issue if people with real houses like say 200 k and under were free from the payment they could buy things like food clothes cars vacations an so much more that's the real way to fix these things but see all you would hear is the rich crying oh poor me i have mils a year i need more lol sad rly
You can count me out for tonight. Obama has spent more money campaigning than most people will make in a lifetime. The Man has his own TV Station on Dish Network that plays 24 hours a day for petes sake. Everytime one of Obama's commercials comes on it says at the top of the screen to hit select to learn more. It then taks you to his channel.
On another subject
BrianP,
To say that someone who votes for McCain is a racist is just plain ridiculous. I agree with some of Obama's views as well as some of McCains. I just happen to agree with more of McCains. It has absolutely nothing to do with race. To say that a McCain voter is racist shows tha you are probably racist yourself. Are you only voting for Obama because he is black, or because you agree with his views.
Wooo Hooo I get to watch Pushing Daisies.
For those of you that have been bamboozeled by the Media. I suggest you read a document called the Consititution of the United states of America.
In it you will find the Executive Branch (President) is the Commander and Chief of the Military... Has the power to say 'Yes or No' to the Legisslative branch(Senate and House). And the power to Appoint the judicial branch with the Approval of the legislature.
The Power in this country to Make laws, declare war, raise taxes, resides in the states through the power of the Congressmen (women) and Senators.
Article. II. - The Executive Branch
Section 2 - Civilian Power over Military, Cabinet, Pardon Power, Appointments
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States,
He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States,
History says the founding fathers were weary of a control so they vested the control of the republic to the Senate and the house. This was done to empower the states through the senators and congresstional representives.
The Congress has been run by the Dems since 2006. In my opionin the country works best when you have one house COngress run by Dems and the other senate run by Republicans .
It makes them able to accomplish very little :)
The whining from the republicans is getting sickening....its the press...yad yada
Hey Republicans No one wants you anymore...your policies are old and antiquated..trickle down does not work ...goodbye...good ridence
Glad to see he is wearing his American Flag lapel. At least he stands strong for what he believes in and will not cave in to peer pressure. Why is this great country of ours so willing to elect such a weak minded socialist?
I hope people don't see this as a failure of the McCain-Feingold bill on Campaign Finance Reform. I always thought that a candidate getting more exposure because he or she had more money - though capitalist in nature - is shortchanging the public. I'm a liberal and a democrat (and I don't watch sports), I think Obama is a good candidate. At the same time, I'm really disappointed at all the money they accepted. I guess this informercial is paid for by foreigners.
Obama's campaign should be ASHAME of themselves for taking all the donations from non-American citizens (which is illegal by the way).
McCain fought for Campaign Finance Reform. I respect him for staying with the promise to keep special interest parties from paying to play.
btw obamas money was mostly from small doner's the average person not corpy greed and yes it was the republicants that dug this hole in the first place lies hate scare tactics lol try being honest and look past party lines vote smart or don't vote and yeah i voted for the guy that will win but bush has dug a huge hole that will have us paying for a long long time clinton was way better debt was down people had jobs and i dont meen 10 or 12 doller a hour jobs he got a bj omg bush just did police actions and much much more and nadda happens kinda sad rly
I care about Ayers. And the racist preachers, and Rezko, and Khalidi (or whatever his name is), and any other terrorists and questionable idiots Obama hangs around with. Did any of you Obamites ever notice that he has no conservative associations? Do you care? I dont care about these questionable people as individuals, I only care because that cartoon character the democrats call their nominee seems to feel right at home with them. Any thinking individual should be frightened that such an individual could get this far in our political system without knowing anything about him or his background. Anyone ever notice that we have seen nothing from any other Obama family members besides his wife and daughters? We've never seen his birth cert, college transcripts, employment records, etc., etc. All the zombies following Ol'bama around have no clue what they are doing.
There should be an intelligence test required for people to vote.
I think the election is way more important than the distraction of baseball.
Come on people wake up. Get you head out of your sand.
This country is collapsing around us. our neighbors are getting thrown out of their homes and you are concerned with Baseball.
Mybe your head is a baseball.
I would like to hit a home run with your non-thinking head.
Maybe it would knock some sense into you.
We are all AMERICANS, so vote for your preferred candidate, and get on with being neighbors and Americans. Lets help each other no matter what color, religion, sex, or political preference.
REMEMBER the constitution and why this country was founded.
FREEDOM! TO ALL who live here.
So quit fighting each other.
PEACE!
Obama supporters,
You will be sorry. Don't deny who you voted for 2 or 3 years from now while you are wondering why no longer have the freedoms we once had. Freedom has it's costs, something Obama knows nothing about.
What I find really annoying is: When 90% of black voters vote for Obama (over Hillary; you caannot say she doesn't support their cause) just because he is black, media don't see that as racist. When few white voters vote for an opponent of Obama, alll of a sudden media start yelling racist. Do you see anything wrong with this picture? I am just about to puke.
I just don't understand how short a memory us americans have - After 9/11 why in the world would anyone want to vote for someone with affiliation with Islamic terrorists? Obama is scary -but more scary is to know how easily American's can be duped by this snake. Check out why LA Times refuses to release Tape of Obama praising controversal PLO/Hamas activist.
(i can't put a link so you must google it)
Tell me why is it that The same PLO that appluaded 9/11 (i was here in Israel and saw it with my own eyes) are showing such strong support for Obama?
If you are a true believing Christian and Love Israel - that you won't cast your vote for barak Husiene Obama
Please keep this empty suit off our night time viewing. The World Series is far more important then some know it all who hasn't even dried his ears yet. I can only hope that he shoots himself in the foot tonight by saying what he really stands for. Taking money from those of us that work, and giving it to the lazy welfare bums who support him. why doesn't he open his check book and give away his money if he wants to spread the wealth. I earn every dollar, I give to charities that I want to give too. Not the kind that support lazy democrats who don't want to work for a living. Gee why don't the Hollywood crowd who support this empty suit open their check books? If they feel so strongly about sharing the wealth. At $20,000,000 per movie you give a lot hope to those who might need it. But I suppose the Nose only sings for rick people. And can't part with any of money. Keep TV free of more needless B.S. .
It is an infomercial. And what part of 'Election Year' don't you get?
It's not right or wrong. It campaigning.
As for who you should vote for? Ask the church and they'll tell you the same thing that they've said for 1000 years. Vote aginst anything that makes you think or change.
Ask the Republicans and they'll say 'Don't look at reality or history. Listen to what we tell you. Above all else fear someone. We'll save you!'
Then they gravb your credit card and charge it past the limit. Then blame you for declaring bankruptcy.
Did a good job for the last eight years on that platform, didn't they?
Ask the Democrats? They'll say 'Follow me' and then immediatly pull a dozen different maps out.
This year, if you vote republican, you're an idiot. You simply are doing what your dad did. You're not a thinker You should stay home.
Vote Dem and you vote for a little movement forward, and that's IF they can line up their ducks for a few weeks. I'd rather have that then eight more years of puppets that play at be presidential.
Watch the numbers. Diebold is still out there.
'It's not who they vote for, it's who counts the votes.' Ceasar
I recommend recording the Obama show and watching Pushing Daisies live. It's the only scripted show on network tv tonight, and it's a lot of fun. popculturecurmudgeon.blogspot.com
Dallas-
I think your comment might be taken a little more serious if you used a minimal amount of punctuation.
I am a traditional republican (not neo-con crap) and a supporter of John McCain (Circa 2007). I will vote for Obama on Nov 4
If your willing to do 8 more years of this Republican BS, you may want to listen in on health care improvements. We will all need good mental health coverage to cope w/ Mccain/Palin
Pessimism - Re your statement: 'The truth of the matter is that the majority of this country voted for 'W'. As a country we are clearly lacking something. It's no wonder we are in the state we are in...'
A well-thought presentation with one correction. A majority never voted for 'W'(vote-count court issues aside); he was elected and re-elected with less than 50% of those voting. Even Clinton didn't get a majority. One has to go back to Bush 41 to have someone elected with a majority of those voting.
Obama knows that he will win next week's election. Why he is wasting what is left of his $600 million plus campaign money on more self-promoting infomercials. He should give his money to soup kithens and winter heating assistance program. Hey Obama, show us that you really care about the wellbeing of poor Americans.
I have to laugh at the comment that was posted regarding Obama and how people will be sorry when they lost thier freedoms.
Hello, were you here when GW Bush and company passed the Patriot Act?
It's funny how people keep pointing to McCain saying that he isn't a regular 'Joe,' then in the same breath talking about how Obama 'feels' our pain. Get real! How many of the average Joe's out there could afford a Havard Law School degree? Obama may not own several houses (McCain's wife is the one with the money, just in case you really wanted to know), but Obama is definitely a wealth elitist.
I will most likely vote for Obama next week. But he is beginning to get on my nerves lately. Am I the only one who thinks he is a bit narcist? What is all this with 30 minutes infomercial. Does he not see a better way to spend that money .... maybe to help the poor? Enough with giving speeches at football stadiums.
When he gets into the office and have access to multi-billion dollars, will he keep spending money on self promotions? I need some answers.
English 101
no sry that's never going to happen, i don't feel the need to follow the crowd, i am more the spartan type tbh spears and shild's with a fancy cape.
lol anyway mccains a dip flip floping retread that will screw us even more and palins a wacko also but attack my typeing skillz idc and the facts speak forthemselvesnuffsaidkthxbailulz
I know we are all excited with Obama candidacy. What if we are wrong about Obama? What if we are making the biggest mistake of our life? What if our decisions lead to the demise of this great country. I am nervous.
From a couple McCain/Palin supporters, Obama supporters far outnumber you in real life. You can pretend to be 5 people on this board, but you only get one vote AFAIK. Unregistered comments are a joke, to be gamed, if you are unethical.
And before you get into a tizzy, no, I'm NOT voting for Obama, I would have voted for Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, or even Mitt Romney, but the idiots that run the Republican party today have lost their minds by choosing McCain, and in turn, McCain lost his mind by picking Palin. McCain was a decent man in 2000, far better a choice than Bush, maybe even Forbes. By 2008, I think we have got to know him better, and all he wants is to get elected with whatever BS he can think of. Although I disagree with most of Obama's policies, I admire the fact that he can unite America more than McCain. That, and the liberals seem better informed than most Republicans - ouch.
Any other Republicans (real ones) willing to look at McCain again and stop deluding yourself? Look into him leaving his wife, the wife that stood by him while he was a POW, to marry the heiress. Then look into Keating 5, then look all the flipflops he's made in the last 8 years. Then the McCain-Feingold immigration fiasco.
Bah. I'm disgusted, because I don't want to pick between a douche and a turd-sandwich. Also, you didn't finance McCain enough to run his own infomercial, maybe their is hope yet, and you didn't buy into his BS either.
The naysayers will be watching!
The only reason McCain is not doing it is because he cannot afford it. His campaign has been nothing but a character assassination of the worst kind. His only concern is saving his place in history. No one w/ any intelligence and/or honesty can say Palin is ready to step in at a moment's notice! Get a grip people! You are not being forced to watch Obama on television this evening. If you want to watch it, watch it. If you don't, then don't. It's as simple as that. Nothing is being forced down your throats! There are plenty of channels to choose from. This election is far more important than the world series! You people need to get your priorities straight!
Nervous: Bravo, and well-done. If you change to oppose Bama you dont need any other reason than to rule him out on the basis that you dont know anything about him short of the laundry list of 'promises' he has made during his term in the Senate (which was spent almost entirely on the campaign trail).
He is a ghost. A figmant of your imagination, with no history, no record.
That should be enough. No need to even go into all the reasons he is dangerous.

People seem so worried about Socialism, well, that is not the problem.
The problem is that what Omama wants to do is to destroy the Constitution. For example, he says he will appoint judges who will not follow precedent, or the laws, or the Constitution, but instead he will appoint judges who will rule based on taking the side of the 'little guy.' There are judges who do this already, but they get reversed on appeal. His solution to this os to appoint super liberals to the Supreme Court. There is no appeal about Supreme Court decisions.
He says this will make life 'fairer.' Well, if, for example the Supreme Court had ruled that there was no right for private citizens to have guns, the second amendment would be dead. So, if he packs the courts with super liberals, and the Democrats have a veto-proof majority in booth houses, they can destroy the Constitution, and remove a lot of our freedoms. Free speech will be the first to go through the fairness doctrine, gun ownership will go, seizure of private property, reparations for descendants of slaves, and, yes, suspension of elections, could happen too.
Remember Fidel Castro promised change, and there were no elections, ever again. Will Obama want to be President for life? Yes, of course.
To him, the 'Change we need' is to destroy our freedoms, and all live in a communist country where everone gets equality of poverty and misery. Remember he said redistribution, he did not say wealth.
Obama is a scoundrel, a Chicago thug, a puppet of America's enemies, and if elected -- he will destroy our nation's greatness.
I am sick of people on the message boards saying that Obama is right and he will lead us. Yes he will lead us into deeper recession and possibly socialism (which has been proven in history to not work). I am also sick of hearing that at this point if you are not voting for Obama than you are a racist. That is complete BS, just because I don't like his politics I am a racist? Screw that! Let me list the reasons why Obama is bad for not only myself but the country, but let me first say that I was a huge supporter of Alan Keys when he was thinking about running. His laughable excuse for economic policy, his quiet hateful demenor, his history of working with and endorsing questionable people and then lying about it, his constant attacking of the other side on non-issues and then complaining that he is being attacked. He constantly lies to the american people about his tax plan. This is a man that has already in his campaign for presidency told the American people one thing and then did another. He said he would not take private funding, then proceeded to collect millions of dollars from private funding. This is a man that is not in touch with working American or those that have to work to live. He has never worked and his is rich, sees more money than I will ever in my life. Neither candidate can relate to working class.
The Truth is, when all is said and done we will have a politician in office.
You can say Obama has no history and he's a ghost, but Obama is the most transparent candidate this country has ever had. Everything you ever wanted to know about Obama is available if you search for it.
As for McCain he lost to Bob Dole and GW Bush in 2000. I also thought Romney or Huckabee would have been strong candidates but they did not win. What makes Mccain better now than the Mccain who lost to arguably the worst president in US hisotry?
Obama has a website that shows his views on several important issues. McCain does not. McCain scares me more because he is a POW who will be war minded. He will more than likely start a war he won't be here to finish. And you truly would trust Palin to guide us through war?
Obama is as experienced as Bill when he took office. And has answered all the attacks on his character. Even attacks on people he talked to 20 years ago. No one cares that McCain was born in Panama. Most of you may not even know that.
Why does it matter what his middle name is? Should we associate John McCain with John Wilkes Booth? Obama ryhmes with Osama. McCain rhymes with Kurt Cobain. Who cares? Are we really that stupid?
People in america are so afraid of change we resemble crabs in a slowly boiling pot who remain in the pot to be cooked in fear of what will be outside of the pot should they escape.
I am neither Dem or Republican. that is an advantage because I can look at both candidates unobjectively without bias or prejudice and make an educated decision.
Based on the tone if this comment it should be obvious who I am voting for. When you go to the polls this Tuesday whatever decision you make, I hope it is well thought out.
Good show ABC.
'You would have had my vote except for you have changed who you are, flipping on everything you stood for. You have also mocked this American process of choosing our president by making it a circus, with Joe the Plumber and Palin. No one cares about Ayers or ACORN, we wanted to know that you would secure our future, but all that is raised is doubts.'
If anyone regards Acorn,Ayers,Wright,Frank,Rashid Khalidi,Pelosi(ties to forgien marxist senators, etc)as nothing. They deserve what he plans to do.
If any person commenting was friends with that many people who dealt meth you couldn't get hired to wash toilets. But somehow hanging out with a large group af people who are bent on the destruction of the U.S.A. is alright????
Well, you'll get what you want and i suspect you will cry to heaven for relief not long into getting your desire.
To Weeeee:
Um, Hello George W Bush seems pretty hell bent on destrying the world, and almost succeeded. McCain is seen hugging him on several occasions.
Palin wanted Alaska to secede from the US. how anti-American is that?
Obama is Brainwashing America! This is serious stuff.
I refuse to waste a 1/2 hour letting him try to hypnotize me. Elect him and you will have the new Kim Jong-il.
If you Google An Examination of Obama’s Use of Hidden Hypnosis
Techniques in His Speeches, you will see how he is doing this and we are letting him do it.
The only reason Obama can afford this is he reneged on one of his first promises, public financing. Wonder what other items he will change on, maybe Biden with his 150K comment yesterday started it and soon the rich number will drop even lower.
Brianp: Are you serious? Only racists will vote for McCain? How racist are you?! What a fool. McCain is not who I would like to vote for, but given the choice between him and Obama, it's a no brainer. Just another case of people who don't know anything about politics getting swept away by smooth talking politicians who promise the world. No matter who wins, American will survive. If Obama does win, it's Jimmy Carter all over again, so as long as it's followed by a conservative like Reagan, that's fine by me. Oh, and I'm not a racist...I just don't like murdering babies - black or white. Call me crazy.
This is the Only country where Race matters on your application for employment, education, loans, credit etc.
Barack Obama knows what it's like to have to specify your race on applications giving those who may or may not select you a chance to judge you before meeting you.
Barack is always on the defensive because he is forever being attacked and scrutinized. If he doesn't respond then people say it must be true. If he does respond then people say he denies too much. But personal attacks are only a distraction from the real issues.
Elections are supposed to be like choosing 'which is better; Coke or Pepsi? not 'which is better; battery acid or sctrychnine? In either case people in America are divided so harshly they actually HATE the opposing candidate. Almost like their candidate is purified water vs. snake venom.
The thing that scares me the most is the people of America who harbor so much HATE for OBAMA or McCAIN, that when either is elected you fear for their life.
We need to remember that whoeveer we elect we need to be able to stand behind whole-heartedly as a country. Anything less would be considered anti-american. It was learned by the Bush administration, that to hate your President or to hate the actions of your military is to hate your country.
When you go to submit your vote please leave your hate at the door, and be ready to accept an outcome that may be different than what you voted for. If we as a country are unable to do this we should change our name to the DSA. Divided States of America.
Civil war anyone?
lol.. BrianP, what you say makes me hate obama lovers like you. How can you say he wins in all subjects hands down? His economic plan is horrible...
Anyway.. I'd rather watch Pushing Daisy show than watch Obama spend millions of dollars to inform his current voters what they should already know.. I'm pretty sure all these stunts are not going to increase his number in the polls that much.. Its all already decided.
A Real Person;
What about Obama's economic plan is horrible? What about it particularly doesn't sit well with you personally? And how much insight do you have on World economics? Have you ever taken an economics course in highschool or college?
people just regurgitate what they hear in the media as fact without actually taking the time to research learn and know for themselves.
If indeed it is already decided then there is no need for you to vote on tuesday.
What if He is the ultimate sleeper cell. Then what? It will be too late!
More than 90 percent of blacks vote for Obama (because of his race) and nobody calls that a racism.
More than 60 percent of whites vote for McCain and everyone starts whispering racism.
Do you see any problem here? God help this great country.
I keep telling my kids I'm not black. No blacks in my living room!
Thanks ABC for not airing the 30 minute Obama ad !!!!!!!
The reason Barack Obama is not sending his campaign contributions to the poor is because it is against the law to use campaign contributions for anything other than campainging...
Although Barack Obama may be a very gifted chameleon, time will prove substance still matters for being a legendary leader of western society.
I did vote for Obama, because he is united the Nation, instead of divided like MCCain/Palind being conducted they campaign, dividing people y bringuing hate, they said Country First,I dont believe,he just wants to win the Presidency. And what is so funny is that they are anti-abortion,Pro-Life,but at the same time supporting War,killing innocent People? tell me is this make sense?,and he consistenly said that he know how to get Osama Bin Laden, and he know how to do it ,,so he is going to allowed Osama Bin Laden to Kill innocent americans,if he loose the Election?is that what it is?---I think this is a Joke he is a big liar and he whole campaing is being base on lies----OBAMA/BIDEN 2008--wAKE UP PEOPLE
