The 'Diva' and the 'reality show queen' do not have a whole brain between them. Let's get them in a real debate (either one) and see how they do when they have to get off their talking points. 'Using her Brain'....right!

Elizabeth should keep her politics off the show. This reminds me of when the Red Sox won the World Series and Shilling announced that everyone should get out to vote and 'to vote for Bush'. TV talk shows and sporting events are inappropriate venues for endorsing candidates.

HasselWho?

Anyone who has done their homework on McCain would know he is unfit for the office, just like he was unfit to fly jets (review his plane crash records). I don't like Obama either (and no the Obama campaign did not alter John McCain's Navy service record showing he was at fault for more than one of his crashes)- but he is the lesser of two evils in this case for sure. McCain's time for honoring himself is soon going to end.

If Hesselbeck thinks Palin is a great pick for VP then she is just as SCARY as Palin! Palin is shallow, superficial and scary. Colin Powell specifically expressed his concern with the judgement of Palin and that judgement could being just 'one heartbeat away from the presidency'. That makes her too scary to vote for McCain!

rooothOct 28th, 2008 - 18:42:34

Poor Elizabeth,

She goes to the Republican Convention and publicly insults Michelle Obama and accuses her of 'hiding things', after she was all smiles and graciousness to her face. Then she goes to a public rally with Palin and insults her co-hosts from her job.

And she expects no blow-back?

Maybe I missed it, but I have not seen a single incident where any of the co-hosts have gone out publicly and so much as mentioned Hasselbeck in a negative way. In fact, no matter how outrageous her statements on the show have been, it's obvious that her co-hosts try mightily not to engage her with insults, but to explain things to her - not that she has made any attempt to listen.

So, Hasselbeck, in typical spoiled brat, arrogant, self-indulgent Republican style, expects everyone to bow down to her no matter how rude and unprofessional she is.

I think Walters would have dumped her awhile ago except for the fact that people keep watching the show to see the long slow implosion of Hasselbeck's limited intellectual skills.

Hasselbeck has two characteristics that make her the perfect Palin supporter: a severly flawed character and a deficit of critical thinking skills.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has a brain? She must be borrowing Sarah Palin's. Now, now, now, it's not about the clothing Elisabeth, it's about the money used to pay for the clothing...do you understand? Of course not...spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on an outfit is something you can do....but 99.8% of the voting public CAN NOT. Go back to where you came from....a typical blonde....

bethOct 28th, 2008 - 21:02:04

Hasselbeck is definitely a dumb blond - or is she even a real blond? I wonder what brain she's using since there's nothing there. She should just admit that she's a die-hard Republican and would vote for any Republican candidate no matter who or what they are, qualified or not. If 'Joe the plumber' runs for president, I'm sure Hasselbeck will vote for him. I see corruption in dolling up their VP candidate with $150,000 wardrobe using the RNC funds. If Palin professes to be 'one of them soccer moms and Joe six pack' then she should dress like them too. I'm surprised Hasselbeck is (still) on the View. She's not credible at all. Kick her out of the show!

I really wish Palin-McCain to win the election. They epitomizes the stupid side of the Americans, and so the country falls... You know, the Americans love reality shows, wrestling, jack-ass, and all sorts of non-sense. These all help bring down the great image of themselves, like the pursuit of great conscience, the respect of logic and science, and the greatest of all, their instinct in knowing what's good and what's not so good. So, just as the collapse of Wall Street, the United States of America will not be united anymore (now they all go the negative and illogical way) and so will China and Russia rise, so will UK and Germany.

Yeah, I'm going to take political advice from a reality TV star. Hasselbeck's endorsement is about as meaningful as Paris Hilton's spoof campaign. At least Paris was funny.

Palin's values and positions are appalling, and if she were by accident to become president, would do even more damage to America than George W. Bush has done. But political views aside, she is utterly unqualified for the job.

The only people who really love her are the same kind of rabid reactionaries and rednecks who drool over Ann Coulter. The more thoughtful Republicans (e.g. Colin Powell) are abandoning her, and McCain, in droves.

Sadly her lack of life experience has made her a blind follower of a very disfunctional campaign. And Palins sudden return to her old clothes is foolish given that the spendy suits have sweat stains by now. Just wear them and say the pubs bought them, selected them and done. silly women.

More important--where are the environmentalist folks on this???? We don't need to be robbing our valuable natural resources and harming our wildlife. I listened to 20 minutes of Palin's smarmy rhetoric today and it was utterly mindless and disgusting. I despise the McCain/Pail 'Joe the Plumber'. They have created a cretin, idiotic persona and expect us middle class folk to relate to this? I think not.

Palin has shown herself to be an egotistic, self-serving politico wanna be. I don't want to see her in 2008, 2012, or EVER. Go back to Alaska--not that they deserva ya! You can betcha I ain't a votin' fer ya!!!! What a doofus she is....

Hasselbeck's endorsement shows her strong character and patriotism. It is disgusting to see so many Democrats' attack comments. The only thing they seem to do is say nasty things about the person. They cannot list any reason why they are voting for Obama.
My advise to many of those Barack Hussein Obama supporters: Check out Obama's link to Ayers, Rev. Wright. How can we trust Obama?

My vote goes to Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin !

This is about voting and making sure that the socialist do not take over the united States of America. This country is for the real americans, and Joe Biden is an anti-American since he is with the islamic terrorist ayers friend buddy with a strange name. Irish people are not americans since they fought against the our mother land England. Biden also has a lot of teeth. People with a lot of teeth and not americans, they are palestinians. First, I am not a McCain/Palin supporter... however, it's too darn bad that Barbara Walters doesn't like it if Elizabeth wears a McCain shirt. Who cares? Would it be all right with her if she wore an Obama shirt? It's none of Barbara's business what Elizabeth wears.

Second, I do not have to wear a flag pin to show that I am patriotic and that I love my country. I love it like anyone who was born there and grew up there and hopes that it will return to the stature it once had before Bush Jr. and his evil cronies destroyed it. However, the pin that Ms. Palin is wearing and her son and others fighting in Iraq have nothing to do with the 'rights' we have. We do not have to fight in Iraq to maintain our 'rights.' What we have to do is: To every country that feels we have wronged it, we have to go to them and apologize and say: We were wrong about certain things, but we want to make them right. Those countries will become our allies; to those countries that are intent on self-destructing... we have to get out and stay out. We are not the world's policeman and we cannot fix what is wrong in those countries when our own is in such an absolute mess.

At any rate... if Liz wants to wear McCain/Palin bras and panties, Barbara should get hers out of a twist and calm down about it. But 'pin-wearing' and fighting in Iraq is not for 'our rights' -- it is for 'wasting time' and 'losing lives.'

I want to respond to Joe the plumber. Joe did not have to call Biden a socialist. A socialism according to the dictionary is a social system in which the means of producing and distributing goods are owned collectively and political power is exercised by the whole community.
Liberal is a political theory favoring civil and political liberties, government by law with the consent of the governeed and protection from arbitrary authority. I am Todd Palin and I endorsed the above. Support the Alaskan Independence Party.

Democrats should be ashamed at what some of their supporters are posting. Their language is so low and so vulgar, -- no class...

Instead of calling those who do not support Obama names, they should be presenting their views why their candidate is better.

McCain has the character, courage and experience to lead this great country! For the undecided, please compare the qualifications of McCain versus those of Obama before you cast your vote.
