Gave as good as he got???? Are you kidding? What will happen if they (Obama0Biden) win the election.Will any questions be off base that make them uncomfortable?Why cant news folks go back to what they should do and report news? The right-leaning media and Drudge report painted Biden as 'losing his temper' when the video shows he clearly kept level and did in fact answer her slanted questions, so I think he did 'give as good as he got'
Good call. The McCain camp is now busy putting out leaked reports (from disgruntled aides for McCain) about a 'rogue' Sarah Palin.

It's about time that someone, anyone, but it was just one person who finaly asked questions that half of America wants to know. But these questions are laughed at by Obama/Biden 'who's writting your questions'... Americans want to know... Now if all the questions concerning Obama's intentions and his relationships with questionable characters are just slander then let it all come out and hold all of those involved accountable but in the same breath if all of this or even some of it is truthful it is relevant. Why should Obama be allowed to deny all of his past and why do Obama/Biden get a pass on all of the 'rhetorical Flourishes' the make? Cant Obama's past just be that? He chosse those friends and why cant we just take thme for their word? 'Spread The Wealth Around'... Read the definition of socialism and honestly say that we as a country arent heading down that path.
Will CNN, ABC, CBS & NBC call the Obama campaign out on this behaviour, or will they let it go? Remember, next week it could be one of you that gets cut off.
Put your bias aside and please try to be the crusading journalists that you all aspired to be early in your careers.
Brilliant interview by Mrs. West, thanks god some journalists have the courage of acting like journalists., I guess Mr. Biden likes questions like regimes like Cuba, Venezuela, etc. where journalists only ask questions favorable to the dictators. Mr. Biden looked very upset because the public are realizing like he acts like a clown, first Obama was not fit for the presidency,now is the best one.

If you actually watched the video, Biden DID answer the questions, but it seems that he didn't answer to your liking. And even if he didn't, the questions weren't really fair. 'Questions we all want to know about'... are you nuts? Let me give you an analogous question to show you how unfair they were:
'Senator Biden, can you please tell how many times a week Obama beats his wife?'
The question is not fair because it already assumes that Obama beats his wife. The same goes for the rest of the interviewer's questions. They presuppose that Obama's policies are somehow ideologically different from other democrats and republicans.
For all of you who get it: Do you ever wonder if it's even worth it to argue with such dense people? They don't use logic to come to their own conclusions, but instead like a baby duck will attach to the first ideology they are given as they grow up, and like Pavlov's dog will react according to the information that is continuously fed to them.
Obama himself used the phrase 'share the wealth.' Did he not really mean what he said? What other statements has he not meant?
The reporter was doing her job very well. Unfortunately, her professionalism is almost unheard of today. I just wish she had not volunteered that the quote was from Marx. She should have just asked if Obama believes that each of us should share (according to our abilities) with others according to their needs. Biden's answer would likely have been revealing.

And you're saying that he 'DID' answer the questions goes to show that you really are a baby-duck. Any fair minded individual, and as an American citizen I would like to elect (hire) a president who has the capacity to answer questions and not shy from them, let alone shutting down the whole thing in an attempt to cover up what they have to hide. The reaction from the O campaign is a resemblance to that of KimJungIl's regime, blocking all news/information from the people they want to control. What's easier to control? misinformed and uneducated. And that's exactly what this is.

As an Independent, I do think the Obama / Biden campaign could have used a better phrase then spread the wealth around. They just gave the Republican's fodder to fuel more negative back lashes which is all the Republicans seem to be good for. What Obama meant was those peoole making more should pay thier fair share of taxes instead of being able to pay attorney's to find loopholes for them get our of paying thier fiar share. I get alittle tired of the news calling both campaings nagative. It's simply NOT TRUE. McCain's campaign is very negative and the Obama campaign is only addressing the smears that are coming forth from the the Republican. The American people are seeing just how low the Republicans will stoop to keep power.

Wondering if Biden’s comment about Obama being tested early on in his administration by an international crisis implied that America would no longer be a world superpower? Tell me, how does one even make that connection?
These questions were sensationalist and sophomoric, and hardly worthy of serious response to begin with. Biden handled this rather ridiculous interview the best that he possibly could.
Obama’s campaign pulling all future interviews with the station had nothing to do with being asked tough questions that do not align with his agenda. It has to do with irresponsible and immature journalism that the Obama campaign wishes to rise above.
I just can’t get over this. How anyone can consider a question that amounts to nothing more than “Senator Biden, were you implying with your comments the other day that America will no longer be a world superpower?” a serious inquiry is beyond me. Of course, folks on the right are already calling this proof of a threat to our first amendment rights in the event of an Obama administration, but no one could possibly believe such a thing deep down. It’s just the latest example of the desperation of the GOP to try to turn the tide. It’s utterly ridiculous.
I don't know who Barbara West is and now don't want to know. I do know she is the poorest of interviewers I have ever saw. I have been a lifelong Republican. After receiving emails hollering Moslem and socialist and now this, I have decided to vote for Barack Obama. Barbara, whoever you are, learn to be fair to people. And by the way, you might use a little class when dressing and getting ready to go on TV. I thought you looked despicable.

I'm sorry, I keep seeing posts that refer to Barbara's questions were 'tough questions'. These were nothing of the sort, they were utterly ridiculous and comparable to McCain/Palin being asked questions such as these:
- You've made statements referring to '100 years of war', are you an imperialist?
- Gov Palin, you've made statements looking to extend the power of the Vice Presidency, well beyond that already claimed by VP Cheney, are you a dictator?
- Sen. McCain, with your tax policies and ties to the top tier in business and income earners, do you intend to turn this country into an oligarch or aristocracy?
- Sen. McCain, due to your years of captivity, how can American's know you were not brainswashed by the Viet Cong, putting for a secret agenda to turn the U.S. into a communist state?
- Gov. Palin, with your previous associations, how can you ensure the American voters that you do not intend to eventually secede Alaska from the United States and found a Christian Faith based nation?
If they were questions and not accusations it might have been appropriate, but considering West's massive conflict of interest and her softball interview with McCain, it's obvious this was a hit job and not real journalism. If these are the questions you want answered, you need to get your head out of the extremist right of the Republican party.

wanting asked, and now you get to see the response from the Obama Campaign.Wftv will no longer receive any interviews. As in the Joe the plumber question will Barb be vetted by the Obama campaign and will they check into her tax records- who gave them that infomation about Joe? Will any average citizen be able to ask a question after he is elected and not be destroyed? Wftv is on notice they'd better shape up or they and Barb West will be in a whole world of hurt in Jan. I think its absurd to accuse 2 sitting Senators of being unAmerican, Marxist, or have sympathy for terrorist. As far as there being a media love affair with Obama, not true either. Opponents just have not been able to make anything stick. Jeremiah Wright got all the play in the world from ALL networks and so did 'clinging to guns and religion'. Am I the only one reading this who remembers the McCain campaign refusing to let John McCain appear on Larry King's show? That's what happened after CNN correspondent Campbell Brown had the nerve to stay after McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds until he actually answered the question he was asked. Brown did not make any of the kinds of wild accusations that West made to Joe Biden -- she just wanted him to answer the question. And they pulled John McCain out of a scheduled appearance and claimed CNN was unfair and biased. Talk about taking your toys and going home in a snit!
Joe Biden did an incredible job of dealing with this delusional woman. He was calm and factual, only occasionally chuckling or wondering about her grasp on reality, and he showed the intelligence and grasp of issues that we need in a Vice President. I'm not at all sure how anyone could these questions to ones asked of Sarah Palin -- what newspapers does she read? What does the Vice President do? Those are tough all right, and Gov. Palin did not have much success with them. Senator Biden handled this interview perfectly and the Obama team is fully justified in denying this station any further opportunities to push its right-wing agenda.
Though obviously some very interesting and curious questions that walked a fine line between stupidity and ridiculous, the fact is Biden had answers with substance and intelligence. Can you imagine Palin doing an impromptu interview and being asked about Marxism? It would have been a disaster for her.
This anchor and/or her network had their own agenda in this interview. Kudos to Biden for giving it right back to them.

as Barbara Walters asking what tree you would want to be! And as far as the statement 'spreading the wealth around' - what about Palin taxing the oil companies in Alaska to benefit the little people. Seems SHE has been 'spreading the wealth around'. If anyone is afraid papers and TV have been biased one way or another - too bad. Every question she asked (and not subtley)suggested that Obama was a Marxist and a Socialist... she used the words herself. Let alone to insinuate that Americas days are over as a world power?? 'McCain wants to spread the wealth up'. How is that for a ridiculous statement? By not taking quite as much money from a person or demographic is spreading wealth to him? These are the people paying the vast majority of taxes. Taking money from one person and giving it to another is spreading the wealth. Think Robin Hood. Is that what you want for your government?
One more thing I would like to point out. Liberals love equality, justice, civil and individual liberties to name a few. In that respect I am a liberal. But, if the individual should be treated equally no matter if they are a minority then how can we justify increasing the tax rate on the richest 5% of Americans? How is that not mob rule? 95% of us imposing our will on 5%.
I would personally benefit from the Barack/Biden tax plan. I simply can't agree with it. What I need more than a $1000 check is a job and the dream that through hard work I can be the one with the employees.
The interview by West was irresponsible,and unprofessional. When I listen to an interview I like to 'see' both sides of an issue not one. I felt compelled to comment, not by the stupidity of West’s quoting the Marx-Engelsh theory out of context, but by Rafael Suárez’ comment. He could not pass the opportunity to mention Cuba and his education. Those two premises only tell me about his narrowed view. Sure, journalism is and should be free as a bird, but asking stupid questions and making assertions that are only in the mouth of republicans and claiming those to be the concern of the people, smells like the old Miami radical Diaz-Balart that accuses of communist anything not running along with his agenda.
