Will Ferrell made an appearance as President Bush on the primetime edition of "Saturday Night Live."
The comic actor strategerized with Tina Fey in perfect Sarah Palin GOP Cadmium red, as the two appeared last night on a special live "Weekend Update" with Ferrell as Bush delivering an evening address to the nation.
Ferrell spoke in perfectly mangled "Bush-ese" as he blathered "the hot lady" and "Tiger Woods dude" had "display much characterization."
Ferrell joked about having three Xanax and a "Silver Bullet", then noted that he was on the way out, "so screw it" and the Oval Office was now a "bummer free zone."
Fey as Palin joked to Ferrell's Bush that she had seen Bush "on the TV" and was busy "doin' a little shopping."
Fey as Palin went on to characterize herself as, "one-part practice folksy, one-part sassy and a little dash of high school bitchy."
The current election and its colorful players has afforded the SNL alums rich material to mine, and the beneficiary is NBC's "SNL," which has seen its ratings soar this election season.
"30 Rock's" Tina Fey has turned the late-night comedy series on its ear with her uncanny resemblance and spot on imitation of the Alaskan Governor.
This Saturday "SNL" will feature actor Jon Hamm ("Mad Men") hosting, and Coldplay is booked as the musical act.
Update Thursday: Bush Endorsement
