The body counts will continue to rise as Miami's serial killer with a conscience moonlights from his niche blood-spatter analyst gig at Miami-Dade police department.

Steady as they come Dexter won't tip his hand.
Showtime has ordered two more seasons of its award-winning top-rated drama series "Dexter" starring Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actor Michael C. Hall, it was announced today by Robert Greenblatt, Showtime President of Entertainment.
The Best Drama Series Emmy-nominated "Dexter" premiered its third season three weeks ago to great reviews plus record ratings as it surpassed 3 million viewers in its premiere week and ranks as the network's top-rated drama series.
Seasons four and five will consist of 12 episodes each, with production on season four set to begin next spring in Los Angeles.
"'Dexter's' enormous success is a tribute to the great achievements of its cast, the producing team, the author of the original book, and the gifted Michael C. Hall,” said Greenblatt. “I thought at best we would attract a devoted cult audience but soon realized that, ironically, this show is so thematically rich and layered with humanity that audiences of all kinds have flocked to it."
Michael C. Hall absolutely shines in his complex and nuanced role as a tortured psychopath with a higher cause. His conflicted role shows a deep human vulnerability and fierce resolve to clear out the trash, so to speak.
Jennifer Carpenter plays Debra, Dexter's high-strung fitness freak sister hell bent on becoming a detective. Julie Benz plays Dexter's unsuspecting girlfriend Rita, pregnant with his child. Lauren Vélez rounds out the women in Dexter's life, she plays Lt. Maria Laguerta, his superior.
