sarah palin has guts and nothing to lose in a SNL appearance. might as well laugh a little while we can. if only she would appear in a two-piece swimsuit, john mccain would be the next president.

Watching SNL tonight is tantamount to subourning this wicked extremists politics. I for one will avoid giving her any sort of poll bounce at all costs. You think this woman is sane enough to be President. Watch the video of her Pastor blessing her political career in the name of Jesus and protecting her from 'all forms of witchcraft', a cause he takes to Africa that has threatened the lives of countless women.

Stella CadenteOct 18th, 2008 - 17:48:05

Whether she flies or falls on SNL has nothing to do with Sarah Palin's ability to be a good vice president/potential president. I'm far more concerned with her attack dogging and throwing around the word 'terrorist' when she and her hubby have joined similar government-hating fringe groups as an acquaintance of Obama. THAT'S where you find the racism, people. She knows the word will stick to the black man with the Arabic name a lot faster than it would to her, her husband and Timothy McVeigh.

I still can't believe that John McCain picked such an unqualified CHEERleader, and that many in the nation consider her to be a fit leader. For me, that alone says that McCain is not a patriot at all. He has our entire nation at risk with such a flighty choice of a person who has no comprehension of the world past Alaska, apparently only to get headlights and votes, which has happened. Despicable! As are his robo-ads... I would look forward to SNL interviews showing us some more of this, but I think every scene will be screened first by some Republican committee to present her in a scripted way, for political gain.

As far as Palin is concerned, You libs are jealous of her success and how she resonates so well with conservative America. While Obama is making decisions to hang with terriorists, and his wife is eating caviar and with lobster toast, Palin creates an image of what you can achieve if you if work hard and make good decisions. Did you expect her to stay home and bake cookies??? (oops sorry, Hillary)

Looking forward to spreading the wealth around. I would encourage all of you to tell your overachieving kids who want to go to a great private college to give give up one grade level to those underachievers so they can all go to state schools together. That would be the fairest thing to do.

This lady has guts. It is ridiculous to say she is not experienced, for heaven's sakes we elected Jimmy Carter and he was a peanut farmer and only a Governor himself. Give me a working mother with a normal family, a guy who backs her up and the challenge of a special needs kid against dufus Joe Biden. We definitely should have gotten Hilary instead of Obama, who actually doesn't even have the experience Jimmy Carter had!!! Both of the choices suck on both sides. Hilary, come back, please. She's not running for President- but has it all over Barry in the 'experience department.'
She also doesn't have a dubious background of associating with mentors, terrorists, associates, felons and thieves like Rev. G.D. AmeriKKKa Wright, Bill Ayres, Bernadine Dohrn, Tony Rezko, Franklin Raines, Barney Frank- and all the 'dummycraps' who have sunk this nation into a national banking-housing-credit crisis.

Sarah will connect with the American people tonight- and win over a lot of undecided voters with her INTELLIGENT, poised appearance.

If hinterlanders (which constitute the moral and economic majority of America) are somehow to be characterized as 'provincial' and thus worthy of derision, then I am inclined to point out that making fun of the autoneurotic hicks from NY, Chicago, and LA (and similar homelands of America's parasite class) is almost as much fun as cow tipping or watching the stop-light change. And skill in moose preparation is surely not as humerous to us as a NY tourist that expects to survive in Wyoming or Alaska on carry-out, or cultural airs put on by a TELEVISION CRITIC. In Montana or Idaho or Nevada, we don't need no stinkin' NYT television critics. We just belch or 'faht' and use the remote.

Much to your surprise, but not America's, Sarah Palin will do just fine on SNL. And hinterlanders are smart enough to know that there is no living in being a Tina Fey imitator - which sort of puts it all in proper perspective.

We can only hope that this nitwit VP candidate's 15 minutes of fame is up after election day. However, I admit it would be hilarious 3 years from now to see if she is delusional enough to run for President herself, ala Dan Quayle, whom in hindsight she makes look like Einstein. The cynical attempt by McCain to select this halfwit to appease his base and make a grab for disaffected Hillary supporters was the last straw for me as for considering voting for him. My high school freshman knows more about world events than she does.

I am ashamed to admit I held my nose and voted for 'Dubya' twice, how can Obama do worse, we have nowhere to go but up. Congress, the economy, and popular opinion will tone down his big spending plans; and hopefully we have learned by now to not take any President's word or plans at face value after the last 8 years of total incompetence.

After the reading I've done this political season and the responses to this article, I'm now convinced I was wrong. I was raised believing that democrats were for the people but all I see in them now is hatred. The only platform the democrats seem to believe in now is their hatred of republicans. It's no wonder Liberman left the party. I wish Palin hadn't been selected as VP candidate. The people in Alaska were/are thrilled with her except the political hacks in both parties that pulled the chock collar on. I feel bad for her, she should have said no to McCain. SNL has satirized more politicians than Gov Palin recently. Inviting her to participate in the comedy act as they previously did with Sen McCain, Sen Obama, Sen Clinton and many others in the public eye before suggests SNL believes it is a comedy show, not a mouthpiece for any single party or cause. The fact that Gov Palin accepted the invitation to appear probably means she is ready to participate in the comedy instead of being only the butt of the jokes. The comments suggesting SNL should not have the governor as a guest after so effectively exploiting her mannerisms, public comments, and elements of her private life to draw eager viewers seem upset that the public media can be used to represent more than one view--their own.

Besides, with Josh Brolin (aka W in a recently released film) as host and Tina Fey as a returning guest, there are certain to be plenty of opportunities to criticize the current administration and those who would like to do better for the next four years.

Take a deep breath and watch the show--or don't--but there will be liberals, moderates, and conservatives laughing tonight.

Just watched SNL. It wasn't too bad, but seriously people, why did McCain pick a cheerleader? Because who she was in high school has nothing to do with who she is now, which is an educated, intelligent woman. But let's play that game for a moment.. who was John McCain? A fighter pilot. Who was Barack Obama? A Muslim community organizer. See, it's not so funny now is it? Maybe if everyone stopped being hypocrites, educated themselves on both candidates, and voted for someone not based on gender or race, America wouldnt be spiraling into a 3rd world. =)

First off, lets just get some things layed out here. The 'he was just a community organizer' bs is getting old. Some points:

McCain:
-Long time Military Man
-Graduated 4th from the bottom of a very large (over 450ppl) Military Academy.
-Long time representative/senator.

Obama:
-Graduated top of his class at Harvard Law (huge accomplishment, tribute to his intellect)
-First african american president of such class.
-Community Organizer (why this is looked down upon mystifies me)
-11 years as Constitutional Law & Civil Liberties lawyer (would be nice to have a president so knowledgeable on the Constitution no?)
-8 years: state senate
-4 years: us senate (thats 12 years in the senate)
-Lots of work with the Chicago school district (yes Ayers was on a board with him at one point, and so were many other ppl including republicans)

Stop with the 'he's not experienced' bs. Palin, however, is. Less than one term as Gov, and Mayor of a very small town (14,000 ppl I believe).
