Reality is bearing down on Lauren Conrad, who has expressed to Extra that her smallscreen days are wearing her out.
As wildfires are burning their way through Southern California, even The Hills’ Lauren Conrad is feeling the heat. She told “Extra” that “…The building where I have all of my production offices, there were fires all around it and my entire collection was there …They were evacuated, but they luckily had all the samples with them.”
As Conrad was preparing for her second Fashion Week runway show, she spoke about fellow designer Whitney Port’s clothing line saying, “Whitney and I have opposite styles. They’re different styles, different lines, different price points.”
As for Port’s upcoming "Hills" spin-off reality show, "The City," Conrad commented, “I’m so proud of her for this next show. I think that in 'The Hills'…She never really let them film her personal life…She hasn’t really experienced the whole “put your personal life on TV” thing.”
When asked if Conrad will appear on "The City", she responded, “Not that I know of. That’s Whitney’s deal. I’ll be watching.”
Conrad admits that she’s ready to say goodbye to "The Hills" saying, “…It’s coming to a point where I love this show so much, but I’m ready to kind of walk away…I’ve been doing it for five years now. Five years on TV is a really, really long time.”
When asked about the media attention on her relationships, Conrad says, “It makes it more difficult. It’s more difficult when not only everyone knows about your problems, but they make them worse because things escalate and things get twisted…. It’s hard to have an actual friendship be torn apart in the media.”
“Extra’s” interview with Lauren Conrad airs tonight.
