Fey on Palin: 'I want to be done playing this lady Nov. 5'

EPA/PAUL BUCKWhen backstage with the press, Fey gave props to actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus and offered her thoughts on vice presidential GOP pick Sarah Palin, who Fey imitiates spot on, according to the Alaskan Governor herself.Fey also had kudos for the ensemble cast and array of supporting guest stars of the hot series. "I think our cast is diverse and talented...we've had the greatest guest stars." "Alec elevates the show to another level with his abilities," noting her Emmy award winning co-star, who recently had a war of words with an NBC showrunner, Greg Garcia of "My Name is Earl," over the show's time slot and level of the network's commitment to promoting it.Baldwin was appreciative of Fey's efforts and creativity."We have the greatest writers, but the show was created by one woman," Baldwin said backstage. "This was Tina's idea. This was Tina's thing. She is the head writer. She is there every day, even when she's not shooting as an actress. She goes back and forth between acting and writing. We're very, very lucky." Fey's backstage comments turned to Gov. Sarah Palin, who Fey portrayed in the season premiere SNL show in the opening with fellow SNL star Amy Poehler (as Hillary Clinton)."But then my kids saw her on TV and started saying, 'Mommy?'" she said to reporters.Fey was to the point in her opinion about the NRA member who is a staunch pro-lifer."I want to be done playing this lady Nov. 5," she said. "So if anybody can help me be done playing this lady Nov. 5, that would be good for me."
